Very Impressed
I am thoroughly impressed with this product. The potassium citrate dissolves in water almost instantly upon pouring it in. Little or no stirring is required. It doesn't have much of a taste, so it's not unpleasant to drink in just water. I actually mix it with a Bulk Supplements magnesium citrate which doesn't mix as easily. Even then, it's still palatable. (I chug it down anyway, but it wouldn't be awful if I took my time with it either AND you can mix it in a smoothie or protein shake or whatever.) Against their precautionary warnings on dosage, I use about a teaspoon per day. I've had intermittent problems with cramps in my gastrocnemius and soleus (calf muscles) ever since I was put on a prescription medication called Accutane about 18 years ago. I started running 3 months ago, and the gastroc cramps have occurred in the middle of a run and forced me to limp home the rest of the way, stretching every 20 feet or so. Some mornings, when I first wake up and stretch in bed, the calf cramps will hit me and I just want to scream because my calf muscle(s) start automatically tightening painfully. I use an app to track my diet...calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, nutrients, etc. I paid particular attention to my daily potassium intake, and even with bananas and potassium pills, I was still coming short of the RDA of about 3,500 mg per day. I was lucky to get 2,500 mg/day on my best day. So I decided to give this product a try. I received it earlier this week and I've been on it for about 4 days. I haven't had the chance to run this week, but I'll update this review in the future to let you know if the calf cramps have stopped which I fully expect. UPDATE 09/11/2014: I have not had a calf cramp while running since I began using this product. I haven't tested the effect with stretching upon waking; I avoid plantarflexion during that morning stretch out of fear cramps will occur. But the running is the more functional activity I was having problems with. Now, I don't have that problem. Cause and effect of potassium citrate consumption? I don't know. But I can't think of any other things in my diet that have changed much since I started using it, so I tend to credit the potassium citrate for it. Some supplements work, some supplements don't, some take a long time to realize the benefit. This appears to be one of the few that works immediately. Again, I would highly recommend this product. UPDATE: 12/02/2014: I ordered another package of potassium citrate as my original 250g package is getting low. I am still taking a half a teaspoon to a full teaspoon per day. I have not had calf cramps, not even once, since I started using this product.

I'm a fan of BulkSupplements
I became a fan of BulkSupplements with my very first order. Like some others here, I track my food so I know that my diet is potassium deficient. With Bulk I can adjust my dose to get just what I need, which is sometimes impossible with supplements in pill form. I like that I don't have to worry about stearates or pollutants. I just wanted potassium and that's all that's in the bag. The package I got had over 1800 servings for around $15. I haven't found a better deal anywhere. I read the reviews before ordering and I noticed that many people said that they had improved sleep with this product. I did not think I had any sleep problems, I slept okay, got up once to go to the bathroom during the night, then went back to sleep. I've never been a morning person because I feel like crap when I get up in the morning. I feel ill and it takes an hour or so to start feeling normal. I started using this potassium citrate and zinc orotate, also from Bulk. A week later I have stopped getting up in the night at all. I'm sleeping right through the night and I don't feel so crappy when I wake up. I didn't think I had any problem in this area, yet I've seen an improvement. There is an old adage that's often applied to food and supplements: "Good, fast, cheap. You can only get two out of three. If it's good and fast, it won't be cheap. If it's fast and cheap, it won't be very good." With Bulk I thought to myself that it's good quality, cheap price, so it won't be fast. Weighing out my doses is going to take time, or maybe it will take a month to get my order. I was wrong on both counts. My order arrived in two days and weighing out a dose takes only a second. I was surprised at how little time it takes. Sure it's not as fast as just popping a pill, but it really only takes a few extra seconds - for me, it is time well spent. If you are going to go to the trouble to supplement, you might as well use the best product you can get, even if it takes 2 extra seconds out of your day. With a cheap digital scale, weighing takes almost no time. What takes a long time is shopping for vitamins: researching, reading all the fine print on all the bottles, researching the contaminants trying to decide which contaminants I'm willing to expose myself to, etc. I think that Bulk is going to save me hours of shopping time over a year. Bulk Supplements has done the "impossible" and provided all three: good, cheap, and fast. I'm going to be ordering from Bulk again in the near future. I take a lot of supplements, so as I run out of each one, I plan to replace it with a Bulk product.

Good potassium supplement
Nice potassium supplement. Great for keeping a good mineral balance. I used to work as a product designer, developer and sourcing agent, as well as a buyer for big box retail, so I can be pretty rough on quality issues. My pet peeves include bad descriptions or instructions, plastic on metal construction (doomed to fail), planned obsolescence, and Sellers selling items they know donโt work. I mean, how many people have to tell you it doesnโt work until you see that and change the manufacturing process? I review products on hand selection by small, foreign or startup companies who launch new or innovative products often ask consumers to test drive their products to obtain feedback and for market exposure. They know that even focus group information can be gamed by a savvy marketing group to say what the seller wants to hear, or to rephrase negative opinions of a product that the consumer might want the maker or seller to know. And then, value for money is something that sellers donโt have a good handle on, especially foreign ones who donโt know what the market will bear, and often, setting a fair market value for a product is hard to do with a new product, since more than cost of goods factor in. Often, sellers will make a product that is too expensive due to excellent formulations or high quality materials or make that the consumer just wonโt bear โ or perhaps they will. The fact is, no one really knows until the product goes to market at a certain cost and then the consumers will ultimately decide whether the product is a good value for money. I feel that I provide help to other consumers by offering my opinion on certain products so that they can make an informed choice, before they purchase a product with their hard-earned money. Because of my background, I can often spot things others might not be looking for and also see problems that might not be immediately apparent until after youโve owned the product a while. There are plenty of poor quality products out there, as well as really good ones that no one knows about as of yet. Iโm hoping you find this explanation of why you should believe my reviews, rather than just assuming Iโll write anything for a discounted product to be helpful and understand my approach to reviewing products. I guess my motivation in offering to review products is to bridge the gap between the sellers and the customers by critically evaluating products on Amazon. Since so many Asian or new vendors sell directly using Amazonโs warehousing programs, the pass-through of my old job as a product developer and buyer is absent on Amazon, and customers, like me, are left without a resource to the pass-through of a critical and experienced eye. And I buy practically everything in my household on Amazon. Yes, some of the reviews on Amazon will be from reviewers who game the system by getting discounts for writing reviews. I can assure you that my reviews are different because I actually do care about the quality of the items I receive. I donโt need a house full of junk for pennies on the dollar and I can afford to buy anything that I would want. And I would never write reviews for money. Thatโs just unconscionable. You should know that some people actually do that and that that is against Amazonโs policies. However, a discount (not always a large one) for customer evaluation, is legitimate, and itโs up to you to read the review and to see whether the one or two lines of โitโs greatโ or โworksโ, is enough to convince you to purchase. Personally, I never listen to the one or two line reviews with hardly any specifics as to why a product works as it should, how it performed or problems with the product if they have the discount disclaimer because I know that some people of limited means are trying to just get discounted items without any understanding that you would not appreciate that product when you paid many multipliers of what they paid. So, Iโm adding this lengthy disclosure to my review: I purchased this item with my own money or on my own account at a discount for the purposes of evaluating the item. I received no compensation for this review and I am not required to give this item a positive review. I am also not associated with the manufacturer in any way. I am brutally honest in my reviews because I buy a lot of products on Amazon myself and I donโt want to order something that doesnโt live up to the hype. If you look at my other reviews, youโll see that if I am not happy with a product, I won't hesitate to tell it as it is. Iโve left quite a few 1 or 2 star reviews for products that were of poor or questionable quality, regardless of any discount I may have received. Believe me, my time evaluating products / writing these reviews and my reputation is worth more than a few shekels and I never buy stuff I wouldnโt normally use. I like to think that I help people make good buying decisions and that I offer my real opinions for the products I review. [...] I donโt get anything but satisfaction of knowing that Iโve helped from your helpful votes.

A learning curve on the Pure Potassium Citrate Powder
I really like Bulk Supplements; I like their service and the quality of their products. With the Potassium I see a need for improvement on the measurements. My experience is as follows. I found that I was waking up each morning aching, stiff and yes, creaking. I mentioned it to my daughter and she said to take 3 Potassium's each night before bed. The first evening I did this, wow what a difference it made. The second morning was even better. I was no longer waking up aching. I still creaked some but it has lessened. I had ordered some other products from Bulk Supplements and since I was almost out of my Now Potassium Citrate, I thought I would try the Pure Potassium Powder. The first evening I did my best to follow the instructions. The next morning I was back to aching and creaking. It took some research (thanks to everyone out there that wrote in about specifics) as well as looking up conversions on the internet. For further information go to the Bulk supplement web site and look under this product. It will provide the spoon size for 3 different doses although not the 275 mg recommended โ no spoon size for this amount. There were also very strict warnings and I did not want to experience anything dangerous or fatal. The most important thing I found was that 1 (99 mg) pill was equal to 275 mg of this potassium. For the last 3 days I have slowing increased my potassium to what I was originally taking in pill form and am now doing much better again. The aching has stopped and the creaking is lessoning. I will continue to be careful with the product and look forward to more time on the increased dosage but will pay attention to the warnings as well as my daily intake of food based potassium.

When gatorade is not enough, and 11 bananas per day seems unappetizing
I've complained for years that no human can get the proper amount of potassium and it's BS. You would have to eat 1200 calories in bananas alone to reach the 4.7g recommended per day. It's ludicrous! Who eats 11 bananas per day? What kind of intelligent design created a human that requires so much of this seemingly impossible to obtain element??? Add to this the fact that since *some* people take heart medication where it would literally kill them if they took too much potassium, potassium is limited in the US to 99mg per pill. Anybody do the math? 47.5 pills per day? No thanks! And has anybody else ever heard of someone taking potassium pills on heart medication and dying? Why does it need to be a federal law? Potassium control is actually more serious than gun control in the US. You may ask, who gives a crap about potassium? Well I found two major benefits from using potassium which will benefit just about anybody. 1) There are 3 electrolyte ingredients in the magic hangover potion, Pedialyte: sodium, zinc and potassium. Sodium is in everything. It does not cure hangovers. Zinc is in multivitamins. They do not cure hangovers. I can verify that the potassium seems to alleviate a lot of the problems experienced in a hangover regarding the electrolytic issues. 2) When you work out, your body produces lactic acid. Often times this is why your muscles 'give up', because your body literally injects acid into them to make you want to go back and chill on the couch. Potassium slows down the creation of lactic acid, which makes you magically be able to work out longer. There are numerous other benefits to getting your proper amount of potassium, including being healthy, which many people enjoy. Potassium can also dissolve in soda. I put about 1g into some Mountain Dew and the taste is still enjoyable and tolerable. Fair warning, this stuff tastes nothing like salt, and you will really regret eating it, generally. Do not try to add it to water, it will make it taste terrible. Trust me, if you want to truly experience life, you gotta get those potassium levels up.

The Answer to my sore legs!
So I've been working out my whole life and just recently started yoga as well, more specifically hot yoga. Plus, I go into the sauna after workouts at the gym several times/ week too. I am exerting myself and sweating a ton. A week or 2 into adding yoga into the mix, my legs during the evening through the night would not cramp, but tighten... like I wanted to keep stretching them out. This eventually led into effecting my sleep big time, because I'd be waking up several times/ night to stretch out. I thought it was my salt/ electrolyte intake; so I had more and more sea salt.. this didn't help. Then I added in more magnesium... even magnesium oil on my legs, which definitely helped, but maybe around 50% cure. I even went out and bought a bunch of bananas and other veggies/ fruits that had the highest potassium to blend up and drink. This worked a small amount but made me even more full and bloated... as I'm mostly low carb diet. Welcome to potassium citrate! I took 1/2 tsp as soon as I got it and I instantly felt better... muscles felt more relaxed and loose. And, my mental clarity returned, I was at ease. Thinking about it today, exactly 1 week in, I no longer have ANY muscle pain in my legs! I can't believe this simple addition to my supplementation was the missing link. I've been playing sports and super active my entire life and intaking so much sea salt, but no potassium! No wonder why my legs have been so sore all of the time. If you are an active person or more specifically sweating a lot daily, then you NEED potassium. I eat tons of avocado and sweet potato (both are among the highest potassium level foods), and only had a minor effect on relieving soreness or replenishing potassium stores. 100% try this potassium citrate if this is you. Now I take 1/4 tsp on days where I don't sweat much or have light workouts. Days where I'm working out, sauna and yoga too, I'll have 1/4 tsp after my workout and then 1/4 after yoga. I don't think I need more than this, because I do eat high potassium foods too. It really helps with mental relaxation, as well as calming of the nervous system too. Simply put, I love this Potassium! Can't believe I went so long without it all my active life!

GREAT customer service
I used to work out a lot, and got out of the swing of things for about two years. I am 6โ2 currently 225lbs. I have recently started hitting the gym regularly and started my supplementation routine up again. I am not a professional bodybuilder, more casual, but I do deem certain supplements to be critical in muscle building and repair. I donโt see the point in investing 2 hours a day 4 days a week at the gym if I am not going to supplement my body accordingly. As someone who has been going to the gym since I was 13, I have seen others work out for years and yet somehow their physique never changes or improves. They may get stronger, but their body literally looks the exact same as it did 2-3 years ago. I have also witnessed many steroid users beef up, and deflate, only to be left with ruined joints, acne scars, a roid gut, and a false sense of dignity. This is what I try to avoid, and why I choose natural supplements. I have tried just about every supplement, done extensive research, and taken note of what actually works and what is simply overhyped BS. I recently discovered Bulk Supplements on Amazon. They have offered me a few samples of products and I have agreed to review a few of their products in return. My supplementation includes: Whey Protein, Casein Protein, Creatine, L-Arginine, Citrulline, L-Glutamine, BCAAโs(2:1:1), Beta Alanine, Green Tea (ECGC), Calcium Citrate, Fish Oil (Omega-3), Zinc, a multi-vitamin, and Magnesium. These are supplements that have been clinically proven to actually work, and fit in with my goals of replacing a light layer of body fat with lean muscle. My goal is not to gain weight and get beefy, but to be lean and mean, yet healthy. Bulk Supplements Company Review: Fast, friendly, GREAT customer service, willing to give free samples to those who use them, have not had any problems at all with this seller. Product Review: I have gotten all of the supplements listed above from Bulk Supplements except for Whey Protein, and my multi-vitamin. The supplements all come in an opaque, silver, Ziploc bag. I have opted to ditch the bags and use other containers as the zip lock on the bag is sometimes uncooperative. Also, if you buy in bulk, and the bag gets low, you have to reach your whole hand in to the bag to scoop out product. Product gets all over your hand and it can get a little messy trying to scoop it right out of these bags. This isnโt a big deal at all to me; itโs just easier to use a different container with a screw on or lock tight lid. You will also want to pick up a measuring spoon set, as most of the supplements are in powdered form and require a specific dosage. You can estimate using a teaspoon only, but a measuring spoon set is fairly cheap. All of the supplements are clean, pure, and exactly what they say they are on the label. You will need to do your own independent research to determine the dosage of what you want to take, because the bags have recommended ranges of dosages, and not specific dosages listed. So, do your research based on your body weight and type, and figure out the dose you need, and when and how often you need to take it! To summarize, Bulk Supplements is an honest, customer friendly company, with good products to match. I have no complaints about anything.

Seems like a good product, but...
*updated 06/02/2022* -update notes: Works great for edema, pretty much just as good as a diuretic with no side effects. Worst tasting stuff I have ever seen which is impossible to disguise with any substance known to humans. The product seems to be quality and my research into Bulk Supplements tells me that it is, but they need to do a much better job of explaining the dosage and how to take this. This is what I am coming up with on my own. It seems like our daily reuirements of Potassium is 4700mg or 4.7G, which seem to be a LOT to get from good. I mean most people I know eat very little green veggies or anything healthy, so most people are probably deficient in this stuff. I know I am because I had it measured at the Dr office and I'm low, so they gave me a supplement. It's 50mg. So a joke right? Why even bother? So I went looking for a quality potassium supplement that you don't need to swallow the entire bottle to meet half a day requirement. So I found this. That's when the confusion stated. 275mg in 10th of a tsp, so I need a couple of tsp a day, great! Not, the does is 275mg, but that only contains 98mg of potassium? OK, so to get 4.7g of this stuff, that means at least 5 tsps of this a day. I had only been taking 2, so I guess better than nothing. So just take 5 tsps, but it tastes awful. 5 tsps would be really horrible in water. Maybe try in juice I guess, but Bulk supplements need to do a better job of explaining all of this. That's why when I looked for answers, all i seen was other people who are just as confused. That's why only the 3 star review. I can get past the taste, but I'd like to know I am taking the proper amount. It's not that I think I'm gettin zero from diet, but I am not eating the huge amount of green veggies or spinach/kale needed daily, every day and neithter is probably 99% of Americans. Review update - after having used for a while - it works. I have a problem when I am overweight, which I am now, starting to lose, but still too heavy, with Edema, my feet and ankles will swell. This almost completely alleviates that IF I take it every day. One other thing to note. I have been teaking supplements for 20 years, LOTS of them, I have tried practically everything in every form, and this is the absolute worst thing ever. It tastes freaking horrible! And there is no way to cover it up. It's like the nastiest alkaseltzer tasting thing without the fizz and WAY WORSE tasing. And you cannot cover it up with anything. Orange juice, yogurt, forget about it. It will over whelm anything else, so fo example, you will get orange juice that tastes like orange flavored Alkaseltzer with mabye some dirtly diswasher mixed in. I've also tried with blate papes. DO NOT DO THAT! Why? Bedcause it's very water soluble and no matter how fast you are, the risk of the blate pape dissolving in your mouth before you can swallow it, is about 50%, I can tell you from experience. So the only thing left is make capsules and swallow a bottle full of capsules I guess or just dissolve in ater and swallow because you are not covering the taste up.

Works
Bought to diy LMNT (they have the recipe on their website) and this is one of the ingredients. Works well, dissolves easy enough. Would recommend.

I can finally sleep.
I've always been a heavy sweater, it was never a problem in my youth, 3 kids later and pushing 40 I developed debilitating nocturia which has destroyed my ability to sleep and made my life very difficult. Since taking this, instead of getting up 5-15 times a night, it's been a consistent 1 time. If I have a busy day and forget to take it, there's a noticeable difference. Given how huge and affordable this bag is I feel like I might be able to sleep through the night forever now.
