I have a 40 unch waist and i have a carhartt jacket in XL that is just a bit too big. Would a large be a good fit for me?

I'm 6' 195lbs. 36" waist (at hips / lg. gut) 46â chest. The Lg. Carhartt J140 fits pretty good, though I actually wish the waistband was smaller so I'm thinking it should fit a 40" waist. Good luck.

I am 5'11" and weight 215 what size should I order?

I would say a XL. My husband is 6"3 and 300 pounds and in a 2xl.

For what range of temperatures would you recommend using this? Where I live it doesn't get below -5° Celsius that much but that's a lot for us.

Carhartt does not temperature rate their garments because everyone has a different threshold for what they consider to be warm. I think the J140 will be fine in 23 degree weather. The J133, that has are Arctic quilt lining is their warmest.
