Darn Tough Men's Steely Boot Midweight with Full Cushion Toe Box Work Sock (Style 2006) -

First off, I love these socks. This is a pair I’ve ordered. I’ve ordered several styles and many of the same style. I’ve been wearing these socks for years—and they last that long. Secondly, I love this company. I’ve returned two pair that got snagged and they promptly credited me for a new pair with free quick shipping. Thirdly, yes, they look expensive. After owning a pair you’ll not think twice about that price based on what you get. You get the lifetime guarantee—which they stand behind—and you get the amazing quality. I took a gamble on this brand the first time when going to Colorado in the winter. I thought I may need quality, warm socks. I didn’t realize how it would impact me. After returning, I threw away just about every other sock I owned. I kept dress socks, for a while. I then proceeded to order several pairs. Then more as time went on. I worked in the field and didn’t realize that my previous socks sucked. I would get sweaty and stinky and blistery. My socks were soaked the end of the day. That is, until Darn Tough. It was amazing when I realized that it didn’t just keep my feet warm in Colorado, it kept my feet comfortable in the central Texas summer heat (110F) walking through mud and swamps! My feet didn’t cramp from being cramped in my boots all day. I don’t feel the stitches or seems. I’m telling you, they could call these socks “Darn comfortable” and they would be telling the truth in that regard, as well! Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy, but from that moment on, merino wool has been a favorite of mine, and no other socks will do. They stay comfortable, they don’t itch and my socks stay in place and they are rugged but soft. Seriously. I’m not paid to say this, I didn’t get anything discounted or free, but I really love these socks. I’ve ordered pairs for my wife, my mom, mother in law, aunts, friends, etc… I haven’t heard one person complain about them, but have heard all of them say great things. I’ve been asked to help them order more, many times. This really is my goto recommendation for socks and a sock company. I’m not sure which is more tough, but both the product and the company are darn tough on their quality and desire to please the customer. I think this company is fantastic, and I bet you will, too! These are awesome socks. Love Darn Tough and the lifetime guarantee. Have several pairs of these and they wear better than many of the others I have and love the additional cushioning in the foot and around the toes. Work well both for my safety toe boots and all my casual boots and shoes. Very comfortable and highly recommend. Have only ever been able to wear one small hole in one pair over the last 5 plus years and took them back to the store and got another replacement pair free. Worth every dollar spent!

Great sock. The thickness is perfect for work boots. They keep feet dry and warm/cool, which in turn reduces foot and toe blistering. The color is good, but I prefer the orange toe not be orange - a matching sock option would be awesome. The sizing is spot on. These aren't worn for hiking, so I can't speak to that use case.

Best socks I’ve ever owned. Super comfortable and so far seems very durable. They are decently warm still in the middle of winter. I wear them for with my work boots as a field mechanic.

Great socks they are very comfortable they don't smell after a long shift in boots they also offer extra padding for your toes and in general but after about 3 months of sandblasting with both sand and steel shot (every other pair I've tried lasted about 3 days) they did rip at the ankle/ heel but they come with a lifetime warranty from what I understand so I will contact them and update after I do also keep in mind my work environment is very harsh it took months of steel shot and powdered glass to rip them so these are some darn tough socks lol

I bought these for my husband as he works 12 hour shifts at a factory. The compression on these socks are just way too tight for him, and his feet are average build. I went by the sizing chart, and even read up reviews and researched further online! He barely can even get these socks on, yet along on long enough to "stretch" them out some. Since he can't even get them on, they are not usable for him. The socks have great reviews and the name Darn Tough is constantly the first to be given as a answer for good socks. I'm sure they are great, but the sizing chart, and if you look up "Darn Tough socks too tight" you'll see that lots of workers struggle to get these on. That the sizing chart is off. I think they have a great warranty, and the socks were really soft to the touch. They also felt cushy in the heel and did look to have decent compression where it was needed in the foot bed. It was pretty wild when he couldn't even get them on his feet. Which are not even considered "wide" for sizing.

So, hopefully this review will help some folks in a similar situation. Granted, this is a 1 day review. If I remember, I’ll update as time goes on. First off, I ordered them Wednesday, they were here the following day. Great on shipping speed. Now for a short back story. I work in a steel mill for 12 hour shifts and we are on hard concrete and walk across uneven steel all day long. It’s hot even when it’s cold. Our feet go through hell on a daily basis. I used to get the cheap bulk dickies “work rated” socks and for awhile they did ok but after a few rounds they were just flat and worn out. I have blisters on my feet and rubbed the skin raw so bad that it just hurt to walk. A friend told me about these darn tough socks and I was desperate so I took the chance and paid 27 dollars for a singular pair of socks. I’m glad I did. My first impressions, they are comfortable, they are just tight enough to fit snug, granted, everyone’s feet sweat in steel toe waterproof work boots but this is the first time I’ve ever felt “moisture wicking”, it was like the socks made the sweat “ comfortable “ if you can call it that. My feet didn’t feel like I was walking in water filled boots. Another thing I tested was the toe scrunching / curling. I don’t know why I do it but I do and with the old socks the sock would scrunch under my toes leaving a sweaty crippled bunched up mess under my toes causing discomfort. These socks, “stretched” back out or took their original form might be a better way to say it. Its hard to see it in photos but the toes have every padding for the steel toe area which is really nice because I no longer have a piece of steel digging into my feet in awkward footing situations.. Some folks are talking about socks not fitting, well, if you read the chart, maybe try ordering the right size. Don’t order a medium if your a size 11 shoe, order a large like I did and it’ll fit perfect. If you’re on the heavier side and some of that pudding weight has made its way to your feet, adjust your size accordingly. Socks are made to conform to your feet, not slide around. This is the first time wearing them but my goodness they are wonderful. I’m going to order a couple more pairs so I have clean socks but if these hold up long term, 3-4 months from. I’ll happily buy 10-15 pairs.

Este es el tercer par que compro. Con base a la tabla de tallas soy L ( hasta 12 americano). El primero me quedó excelente, el segundo ajustado y el tercero tan ajustado a la altura del tobillo que me corta la circulación (el de punta anaranjada. Es un producto de muy buena manufactura y que por el precio uno supondría que todos los modelos tendrían la misma horma (dimensión), pero lamentablemente no es así. Fue caro aprender cual es el modelo que me queda bien y, si vuelvo a comprar, solo comprare de ese.

Great socks , warm, cushioned, comfiest socks of all. After trying most of all the other merino wool socks only buy Darntough now. More costly but as they do really last a very long time actually in a life cycle analysis probably no extra cost in the long run (I haven’t managed to wear a pair out yet in 4 years - and I am on my feet at work at least 10 hours per day and go hiking at weekends …) . No smell from sweaty feet either - even if you wear for two long days without washing them (confession there !).
