Mine came with a screw on lid. I guess they updated ghe tin it originally came in. I had no problem opening and closing it. I love this brand. I have 2 colors. Crimson and poppy pink. They both are beautiful. The formulation is like butter. You only need a very small amount and it blends in beautifully. I put it on in the early morning and spray my face with Laura geller Boost spray fixateur, and it lasts until the evening. The little pot you get fits a large amount of blush in it. It will probably expire before o use it all up. I keep one in my purse just in case I want to add more color at night. I highly recommend this product. I'm so happy I purchased 2 of them. I'm 62 years old and have oily skin, just so you know.

As a vintage beauty and style enthusiast, I've heard a lot about Besame Cosmetics, but I haven't been able to try them until now. I was especially interested in the rouge. I would love to love cream blushes, but I have combo skin and most of them either disappear under powder or melt away halfway through the day. Not this one. The formula is luxuriously smooth and creamy. It's easily blended with fingers, a sponge or a brush, and blends seamlessly into foundation or skin. It's very well pigmented, so it produces a stain that lasts all day, oily skin and all. However, I haven't gone dancing or running or done yard work with it on, so I can't vouch for it's staying power in those situations. It doesn't disappear under powder. It's great for daytime or night, with neutrals, bold eyes/lips, or with no other makeup at all. I've used it for a lazy day when I didn't want a full face, but still wanted a little makeup, with a little mascara and just this. I just look naturally rosy. It can be used on lips and eyes too, for a nice natural all over glow. The color is buildable, but a little goes a long way. Dewy finish or matte with powder on top. I love this stuff and will definitely purchase again.

I got this for my birthday it’s a gorgeous red but don’t let that fool you it blend and goes on cheeks beautifully!! I use a wet blending sponge. Also it goes on the lips as well it’s not as red on the lips after one application I suppose you can blend in more and later it!! It’s worth it!! I love the tin. My daughter said I could buy refills for it after I use it up!

I have to say, I quite enjoy this blusher, and it's very pigmented. It's a true red colour that can be blended out into a beautiful, natural looking flush on any skin tone. However, the tin that it comes in - while pretty - tends to be difficult to fit back together once one has it open. That is, the lid will often catch between the outer ton and the inner tin, which actually holds the product. If one is using it on the lips, they'll also need a balm, as it can be drying in that area... But the pigment is so wonderful, that's a small sacrifice to make.

Wtf happened to this product?! I’ve been purchasing since I could buy it at a farmers market booth in LA, then their boutique in Burbank and now I tried to purchase on Amazon since I’ve moved out of state and it’s rubbish. The packaging is different (possibly improved? Easier to open at least) but the blush is dried out and slips immediately out of the jar— before I even used it. Mega disappointed.

I bought this on Prime Day, when it went on sale. It’s extremely easy to use, flattering, and the consistently is lovely, creamy and sheer. I use a light hand and build coverage slowly on cheeks and lips. It’s very easy to get a natural looking flush or a more dramatic look. I think the red is both neutral and vibrant enough to work on many skin tones, from very fair to very dark. I’ll be happy to replace it at full price when it’s empty.

This is now my favorite blush bar none. The color is extremely flattering on my fair yellow toned skin and lasts all day. A little goes a LONG way - having never used a cream rouge I did have to learn how to apply it. The key for me was to use it UNDER my foundation - a few dots of blush on my cheekbones worked in circles is all I need. I then apply my foundation (I use a mineral powder) and face powder. The blush adds such a natural glow when applied this way. As a bonus it works wonderfully as a lip tint. I dab some on my lips then apply a lip balm for moisture. Natural color all day! And of course the packaging is beautiful as is always the case for Besame products.

Love the lip and cheek combo use. The pigment is beautiful and long lasting. The color is so beautiful and flattering on my 58 year old face. Would like to try other shades if available.
