I am in a suburban area of NJ and one (at least I) would not expect to have an issue with cell reception, but I do. If on cell, walking around the house often call will drop. With Wifi calling, what seems to happen is that on occasion, cell reception gets strong enough that the phone wants to switch from Wifi to cell, and the call may drop. Using an app on my android phone I measured cell signal. Found that in the attic I had borderline reception. My house roof is pyramid shaped and steep enough that I did not want to scale. I found a chase that goes from attic to basement so I ordered this unit. Placed the antenna in the attic as close to roof as I could and still allow it to rotate so I could fine tune reception. Ran the coax in basement to my study and transmit antenna is there. I increased signal strength - for the most part by 15 db. I know signal is knocked down by roofing material, but this is working for me. I mounted on a 2x4 that goes from floor to peak of attic. using both brackets that come with the unit. I can swivel the antenna 180'. After some experimenting the antenna is pointed in a different direction from what I was expecting by mapping cell towers, but bottom line is this works well.

It does work, but isn’t exactly plug and play. It’s not difficult but does take a little tuning and adjusting to find your best signal.

Works very well. Out of 4 cell boosters I have had on my pole barn, this one has the best inside signal strength of all others.

I've had mixed results with signal boosters so I was a little uneasy by such an investment. Unfortunately a land line is no longer an option for our area so safety demanded we do something (no highspeed internet either). Inside the house we had 1 bar on a good day in the right place (barely enough for a text). Outside I found a spot with 1-2 bars of solid signal. Now, with the booster on, I can call anywhere in the house: ~3-4 bars on the level with the booster, 1-2 bars in the basement but still strong enough to maintain a call. In the den, with the indoor antenna, I have a good enough signal for slow data transfer. I can actually surf the internet and send pictures. It's not fast data but it works, which seems like a miracle compared to before. Of course I think the product is great but the installation is absolutely the key to getting this thing to work. You must follow the instructions paying special attention to the separation of indoor & outdoor antennas, as well as facing them in opposite directions. I think this is where most people fail to get good results. Well that and you can't amplify a non-existent signal. You must have some signal or your wasting time & money.

The product was easy to install and set up. This advertises signal boosts for rural areas for multiple cell carriers. It did not enhance that option for AT&T carrier. I gave it 3 stars because of the ease of installation and customer service was very attentive. They tried everything they could to get me a signal. They recommended returning the product because it was not going to be successful for my situation. I had rechecked band and minimal requirements but the unit still could not boost signal.

Huge difference in cell service inside our metal pole barn. We now get the same signal or better as outside anywhere in the barn. Previously we had to put our phones against the windows to get any signal at all. Wish it was more affordable. I also didn't have to tune anything. This is mounted about 2 feet off the ground down in a valley of a hill and actually pointed 180° away from a cell tower, but your milage may vary.

Works well for my application. Had zero bars inside building before installing this unit. Now have 3 to 4 bars consistently.
