MUST HAVE FOR MY MOM
I saw a lady in the store with this. It was really helping her walk (she had a hip replacement and didn’t have use of one hand). I could not live without getting one for my mom. My mom is 93 and unsteady and frail. A wheeled walker works great for her but is bulky in my hallway. A regular walker is too wide. The one hand operation was perfect - much better and safer than a cane. I followed that poor lady all around the store until I found out where she got it (her physical therapist gave it to her). I came right home and searched to Hemi Walker. Price was reasonable so with a click click clack I ordered it. It came today and I’m very impressed. It’s sturdy and is exceptional for my mom’s need. My mom does NOT like anything new so it will take her getting used to. I will point out something — PAY ATTENTION. It arrives assembled and folded; you just unfold. I had noticed on a couple reviews it said it collapsed - and I think I know why. On the legs, there is an adjustable height feature. Several holes on both legs — you slid the leg UNTIL THE PIN LOCKS IN THE HOLE! Mine did not have the pins locked and it slid - but once I locked those pins, it was very sturdy. Also, if you try and lean forward, it will knock over. But that does not alter my 5 star review because like with anything you are using for a disabled person, you need to be careful and conscious of such things. When you unfold it, there is no lock on the unfolding - so make sure it is unfolded all the way. It’s a great little one handed walker — so much safer than a cane. It was also made by Drive which I believe is a respected medical device company. I think it will be very useful for my mom.

This worked really well for my mom
My mom fell and broke her right arm and had to have surgery on it. While she was in the hospital having PT, the physical therapist recommended this type of walker for her to use when she got him. I looked it up on Amazon and found this one. It was perfect for her because it is very lightweight so she could carry it with her left arm. It's also surprisingly very sturdy. I was concerned because I thought she would need a heavier one to lift off of the couch and bed when she was getting up, but this one works great and the design makes it so it doesn't move while you are pushing up on it. This was a really good find for the price and it arrived just in time for her to get home from the hospital.

Great!
Good quality hemi-walker recommended by my dad's physical therapist. We got this for my dad after his stroke and omg it helped him so much. He didn't really have any use of his left arm after the stroke, so once he started working on walking again, a regular walker just didn't work for him. At the same time, a cane did not offer as much support as he needed. This was a great in-between that he could maneuver with one hand. Definitely bulkier than a cane and takes some getting used to, but a great option. I don't think he would have made as much progress without it.

This is for someone who will walk very slowly.
i found that i was trying to walk too fast and it almost got in my way. that is my fault. i do use it for the exercises i need to do for my shoulder replacement (total). it is very stable and is a good support. one needs to position the walker ahead, step up to the walker and then move the walker ahead again. i was trying to walk more or less normally with it and that didn't work too well. used correctly it is an excellent device.

Much more safe and stable than a quad cane!
I am currently using a folding 2 wheel walker, recovering from a below the knee leg amputation. I wanted to progress to using a quad cane, but it is too unstable and I don't feel safe walking--I am really afraid of falling. This hemi walker has been great for me, I can practice walking with it, and it is so much more stable and safe for me than a quad cane. It is easy to fold/unfold, and lightweight, much lighter than my walker and so much easier to get it in and out of my van. It came fully assembled and I was using it within minutes. I only had to adjust the lenth of the legs and I was ready to go. It seems well made and very sturdy. I've been using it for about three weeks now and have not had any problems with it. I would definitely reccomend this for anyone who would like to move on from a walker, but doesn't feel safe with a quad cane--this hemi walker has been great for allowing me to practice walking safely and improve my walking and balance on my leg prosthetic.

This has made such a difference for my husband as he was only able to use a walking stick. After he had a fall he was really unstable on the stick. This hemi walker has made him walk with confidence again. Thank you

We are very happy with the product. The only thing to improve it would be to ensure that all four legs are perfectly level on the floor. it is constantly rocking slightly back and forth. When weight is applied it basically flexes and becomes solid.

This is a great sturdy one handed walker.and folds up when not in use. It has made walking safer for the person using it . It is a lot better than a cane and is not too heavy to use as well.

I bought this for my father. I looked a a couple in local stores but they were heavier than this one. Arrived in 2 days and seems well built at a decent price.
