I adopted a foster who's favorite pastime is non-stop tug-of-war. She is ferocious and will yanked your arm off. However, upon receiving this chuck-it, it is a little bigger for her to clamp onto, which means she has to slow down in order to keep ahold of it (I get to keep the rope end). She loves it! I ordered two more as backups (would have ordered 3, but the seller has a limit per household). So far, so good. She,.of course, has put minor scuffs on it from her teeth in the short period that we have had it. She isn't allowed to chew on the rope part, so as long as she doesn't get to the rope when I'm not looking, it should last quite a while and saves my arm. This was the cheapest one I could find at under $10. She has a lot of fun with it, and its easy for me to hold onto the other end. You can just wipe or rinse it off when it gets dirty. Super easy.

Highly recommend. My gsd has a bad habit of chewing down on toys when coming back from retrieving. I was replacing toys and frisbees every week. This has been the best purchase I’ve made for her and has lasted so long.

The Chuckit! Ultra Bumper Tug is a brilliant concept for high-energy play: combining a super-durable floatable barrel with a tug rope. It immediately became a favorite for interactive play, especially for a large, playful dog like our 1-year-old Labrador. It’s the perfect shape and size for a good grip, both for human and dog. Our Experience: Tug Time vs. Chew Time: As a tug-o-war toy, this bumper is fantastic. The length is great for keeping hands safely away from enthusiastic jaws, and the bright orange color ensures it’s easy to spot, even in tall grass. The main, bright orange barrel portion is incredibly durable; it has survived aggressive biting, dropping, and rough play completely intact—it’s made of that classic, nearly indestructible Chuckit! rubber. However, if you have an aggressive chewer, the included braided rope portion may not last long. My Lab chewed through it in a surprisingly short amount of time once she decided to settle down with it. It definitely wasn't designed to withstand sustained chewing. While the barrel lives on, the rope is frayed. Overall, if you treat this strictly as an interactive toy that you put away after the tug session, it’s a great purchase. If your dog is left alone with it, expect the rope to become debris very quickly. Pros: Superior for Tug-o-War: Excellent shape and length for interactive pulling games. Ultra Durable Barrel: The main orange rubber barrel is robust and resists heavy biting/chewing. Easy to Spot/Floats: Bright color and buoyant material make it great for fetching near water. Cons: Rope is Not Durable: The rope portion is easily destroyed by aggressive or focused chewers (e.g., Labradors). Interactive Only: Must be treated as a supervised interactive toy, not a solo chew toy.

String part kept coming undone and I had to snip pieces of daily. Once that was gone the rubber part is great!! The toy is light and has been a favorite of my dog for a little while! Easy to clean, fun, bouncy, and good size for a GSD type!

My dog has recently taken up swimming lessons and I was looking for a toy that would prompt him to interact with a bumper or floating toy in the water but I also wanted something he could enjoy around the house for tugging and fetching so that he would be more interested in it if I brought it to the pool. Chuck it toys are always well made and never disappointment. The bright colors make it easy to find, this thing floats beautifully, the tug rope is actually ingenious because it wraps back around the toy for storage so if you're playing with it in the water you can have the rope out for tugging or you can just slide it back into the little grooves and then fling it across the pool and it floats and is easily retrieved. It was an excellent price for the quality it works very well and I'm looking forward to enjoying more time with it and my puppy in the pool.

This is a nice rubber dog toy and my dog loves to play tug of war when she's not chewing on this thing. Easy to throw, fun to play with them. This is a well-designed decent toy that my pitbull destroyed in just a few days! But then she is a pitbull.
