Can the manufacturer confirm how many strands of wire does this 14 awg wire have? the discription in the listing does not say.

I purchased 100 feet of the 14/2 speaker cable. I will say first that I am quite pleased with the overall quality of the cable. I stripped the ends of each conductor with a Best Quality "grip and strip" mechanical stipping tool. I counted a total of 29 copper strands after stripping off the outer jacket. As best I could determine with a magnifying glass there were at least five strands cut off at the outer jacket by the stripper tool. Thus, it would appear that each conductor has approximately 35 strands. I am using the cable with a pair of Klipsch RP-6000F Reference floor standing speakers, and have found no cable-related issues with these speakers. I hope this helps.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Each lead is exactly the same. when wiring your system, just make sure that whatever side you use for the hot lead (red) on your source (receiver, amplifier, etc.) use the same lead for the hot connection (red) on your speaker. Wire manufacturers either use a stripe or printing on one lead so you can make sure you match red to red, or black to black. Hope that helps.
