If you're like we are, Lightning cables fail regularly. The connections are just fragile. It's not unusual to see a single 6' Apple certified cable selling for $20 or so. And some cables, particularly for Apple devices that now require USB-c don't work with Apple products. So I try to buy cables that are labeled certified for Apple products. Having both 6' and 10' options in the bundle was the deciding factor. Sometimes we just need a longer cable, particularly when traveling and we don't know how far away outlets will be from where we need our devices to charge. The only negative is that the insulation material isn't so supple. But then again, those cables that I had in the past also tended to fail before they should have. Or perhaps the material makes them more fragile? Anyway, these cable work and suit my needs.

I purchased these "MFi Certified" charger cables for back up to cables I already was using knowing they don't last forever. Well, these don't last EVER!! None of them will charge any of my family's devices and aren't recognized by the iPhones and iPads we have tried to use them with. Multiple locations with multiple cubes. Of course, I am now stuck with them because I bought them in advance as back up and just now need them. My bad for not immediately pulling each out and assuming they wouldn't work by testing them. Lesson learned.
