My dog’s name is Gismo. He is a one-eyed 13 year old, 14 pound male Shih Tzu. While the bed/seat is pricey, I wanted to provide Gismo with the most comfortable bed at home and the safest seat on the road. As I was opening the package and putting the product together, I was impressed by how well it was made. It is definitely high quality. We have been using it for two weeks and we love it! We take it everywhere that pets are allowed, including Lowe’s, picnics, friends’ homes, etc. It is very easy to get in out of the car and to transport. It is comfortable and sturdy with very thick padding that surrounds Gismo with protection and comfort. The product seems to be much safer than any similar products on the market. There are two convenient side pockets for storage and it comes with an extra pillow case. For home use, the sides of the bed/seat are so thick that one can flatten the padding (front flap and base) a bit when installing it or perhaps the fluffiness will break in over time. I place a towel on the bed/seat because Gismo has skin issues and towels help maintain cleanliness. Gismo looks very comfy and happy when he is in his new bed. He sleeps well, scratches his body and licks his paws - all signs that he loves it. I love having peace of mind when we travel in the car, knowing that the seat will keep Gismo safe. I know that I made the right choice when buying this bed/seat. It is a high quality, versatile multi-purpose product that meets both Gismo’s and my needs. Yes, it was pricey, but it was well worth it, and Gismo is worth it! I hope you and your four legged fur babies love and enjoy the bed/seat as much as we do. Best wishes to you all!

Simba stays safe while riding with me in the car now. Before I purchased this dog car seat, he would try to sit in my lap and go back and forth between the passenger seat. It was distracting for me as a driver. This dog car seat has a leash on each side, and I attach one to his harness. It is long enough so he can move around within his car seat, but not long enough where he can get out of his car seat. It's probably 10 inches long. I put one of the side handles over the headrest. I like that it is cushioned on all 4 sides, with 2 sides taller. Also, with a zipper in each corner, we can open it up to be used as his bed when we travel in the RV. It comes with a seat-belt strap to secure it better. This was not in the box when carseat was delivered, so I emailed the company and they were so kind to send me the straps and also some Korean snacks and candy! They emailed after it was shipped, which took longer due to coronavirus. Simba now rides either curled up in it, or with his head and paws on one side of the cushion watching me drive!! It seems expensive, but it is quality materials and worth it. The fabric reminds me of water repellant sunbrella. You will need to insert the cushions when you receive it, but just take your time and they will squeeze in! It is nice and cushy, so i feel Simba is better protected if there is a car accident.

This is hands down one of the best purchases I have made for my dog. The price tag scared me away for awhile, and I will admit that it is quite steep. But this car seat will definitely last a long time. The material is a tough canvas type, the same as my army duffle bags, and is easy to clean, water resistant. The pillow inserts are excellent, once I put it together I wanted to lay in it cause it looked so darn comfortable! I have a 3yr old Pug that is 23lbs and about 18in long from nose to butt. He fits perfect with room to spare and loves this car seat. It also doubles as a portable pet bed, if needed you can remove it from the car and carry it like a bag by the handle straps on the top. So on trips this acts as a car seat, pet bed and carrier if need be. Now I will say that this car seat is definitely on the heavier side and it is bulky so if you put it in your back seat it’s taking up just as much space as a toddler sized car seat. You can remove the pillows and adjust to your liking. I decided to go ahead and drop the cash on this one because the previous two car seats didn’t last long or became uncomfortable for him on long drives. I love it but the price tag definitely needs to come down a bit, almost $200 is steep. **UPDATE: It is now July 2022 and this car seat is still in perfect condition. We have done countless road trips, overnights where the seat doubled as a portal sleeping pillow, and a few spills and accidents. Not showing any signs of wear and tear. I normally don't write a review, but since this was one of my biggest purchases from Amazon I want to write down some of my thoughts about this product for other potential customers. I was surprised by its price at first when one of my friends recommended this premium car seat. I ordered this with hesitation and thinking that I would return it right away if I don't like its quality. I also had a high expectation obviously due to its price. But when i first opened the package, I knew it's the quality i was looking for. It's waterproof and quality cushion. Also, I was surprised by the zippers - very very durable and smooth. Although it's 200$ but if I can use this for 10+ years, I guess it's not too pricey! I have been looking for a perfect car seat because 1) my dog is very whiny in the car, 2) she's car sick a lot - sometimes vomiting, 3) I live in the city with crazy traffic, and 4) she only likes to sit on my lab for the whole time (and I got scratched so many times). I noticed that my dog feels comfortable and stop being whiny in the car (she's kinda still but a lot better!). One thing I like the most is that this car seat can be turned into a comfortable dog bed. I took this car seat for my weekend getaway, It's just perfect and my dog loves it. You don't need to bring the bed separately. My dog is 13lbs and it is big enough for her to be comfortable. I think this can fit up to 25-30lbs? I hope that this product will have more colors available in the future. I highly recommend for those who are looking for a good quality car seat that will last more than 5+ years.

I really like this product, more importantly, my dog likes it (and he hasn't like a dog car seat.... e v e r). It's extremely durable, very comfy, and I love the "safety pillow" in the front, not to mention you can easily (2 seconds) remove the car seat and take it anywhere and your dog can lounge in comfort.... and royalty!

I had a very long time before purchasing this booster seat. because the price was high, it was a new design and there were no reviews. But unlike other products, I was fascinated by the fact there is a protective wall in front of the car seat. So I bought it ! Now, High quality and absolutely love it! My Dog loves it too!! My wiki is a mixed dog of Welsh and He is about 18lbs. He did not like being tied at first because he liked to walk around in the car. However, I used it as a bed at home and used it as a car seat in a car. So Now, wiki likes to ride in a car seat and he sleeps comfortably in it while driving. And my favorite parts! #1, Even if I suddenly stop driving, front pillow blocked my dog safely. #2, All pillows are fluffy and very thick. It's very stable and dog sits comfortably. #3, Above all, having a handle was a really good choice. P.s. It was fun to make the product at first but i was a little tired. I recommend punching the pillows before making it

I absolutely love this doggy car seat. All skepticism I had are gone. I had two methods when taking my puppy in my car; putting her in a crate or having her look out the window while holding her which is obviously dangerous. Since she is young, she won’t sit still and this is very unsafe for a driver. She hated being inside a crate therefore I purchased this. It’s very cushiony and safe. My puppy Luna sits there comfortably. It’s very spacious for her and I’ll put a toy in there and she is very calm. When I would hold her in my arm while driving, she would get antsy and try to get to the back of the car as well. With this car seat she stays in there and doesn’t even try to venture to the back. The quality is very high and it does the most important job, keeps myself and her both safe when driving. I highly recommend this to anyone that has a dog, probably best for medium to small dogs. I’ve used this with my puppy during 5 trips now and thankfully it’s worked Everytime therefore it wasn’t a one time fluke. Amazing product and highly recommended!

The pieces are well made but the thought was missing something. Everything is way too poofy including the bottom piece where the dog lays and he’s slipping and sliding and can’t really rest unless you put another blanket on top to keep the dog from sliding everywhere. The sides are so poofy, it takes up space from where the dog is supposed to be. The dog ends up cramped. Spent $189 but not sure what I’m supposed to do with this now. It’s been in my garage in storage this whole time …. i don’t recommend it
