Wristwatch Annual 2022: The Catalog of Producers, Prices, Models, and Specifications

Only covers high end watches. No Casio, Bulova, Timex, standard model Seiko or Citizen affordable models or other low to mid range makers and models covered so only for those with deep pockets or dreamers.. Interesting to look at but everything in it is outside my price range.

Prices seemed a little behind the times (we collect automatics and we're quite familiar with current pricing), but it makes for a very attractive looking coffee table book for conversation.

This guide provides pictures and information of most watch brands and models. Pictures are helpful but the information is not always accurate. For example, many models are listed with wrong pricing details.

Trudging through the internet to find the latest watch models and their basic features is a dismal task even when looking at the manufacturers official sites (now more glitz than information). This book provides a one-stop source for good basic information such as a reference photo, dimensions, calibre type, and more. You can thumb through all the significant brands and used the information for a more detailed and focused search on the web. The books will also become an important future reference for researching discontinued watches and monitoring model changes. Plus I just really enjoy a printed book rather than staring into yet another tablet or phone. Can’t wait for the 2023 edition!

usefull, for those collecting watches , there is price guide, company history, sizes, movement etc

I used to spend massive amounts of time and money on books/magazines on special interests back in my college days but books are rare and bookstores even more so. This book is a feast for the eyes with gorgeous all color photos on thick glossy paper. Nom Nom Nom. I haven’t felt this good in a long time. Not sure what this cost to print but feel it’s a steal at $39. Bravo! FTR if you’re thinking this is a comprehensive collectors guide for vintage to the present it is not. This is an Annual catalog for the previous years offerings. I do, however, feel some brands should have been included especially when there are some less than relevant ones represented. Fortis was omitted and they not only have a long rich history that includes Official Government contracts for space programs but are credited with some actual horological first achievements. How did Vostok get in and not Fortis? Regardless, this is a gorgeous read and including some relevant movement shots and info at the end of certain brands was a nice touch.
