Review from an avid Hunter/Prepper/Outdoor Enthusiast I want to preface by saying I wear out a lot of gear and I am not brand loyal by any means. However when building a rucking bag for search and rescue training, I really really wanted to spend a lot more money on a name brand bag that has all the bells and whistles and suspension etc. But the price point here was impossible to refuse. A few things: 1. No compartmentalization at all really. You have the top pocket (Also where the rainfly is stored) and the main compartment. Thats it. Nothing else. The benefit is that the front zipper opens to allow you access to the whole compartment. So you dont have to top load and unload. Great. Also it has a rainfly if you didnt get that. 2. Molle straps. Yes. Just yes. All my other gear connects to molle straps so glad its there. 3. Padded well. You are not a navy seal. you are not an army ranger. You dont need a $500 bag. This is breathable and padded well. 4. Water bladder compartment is in the main compartment. 5. The bag material is just as good of quality as any other name brand. It works. I would not hesitate to take this through the woods on a rescue call or hunt.. Limbs branches sticks wouldnt penetrate it. Its sturdy. 6. Large enough to do whatever you need it to do. You don't need anything larger. 7. Lightweight enough. Its not microweight, its not even light weight. But its not heavy. If you are planning on rucking this bag around just know unless you spend $500 on a microweight bag its going to weigh a little bit. Just buy the bag. Its a good piece of gear.

So I am not an ultralite backpacker and this pack is not meant for ultralite backpacking/thru hikes. It's not too heavy and there are a lot of adjustments that can be made to fit your body so the pack adjusts perfectly to your body. Pros: I like that all of the straps have tail holders. It's a stupid thing to get excited about, I know. But I hike mainly in heavily wooded trails and it's nice not to have tails hanging and getting snagged on thistles and thorns. Super durable. I have put around 150 miles on this pack since I bought it. It's a good trail pack and it's really durable. It's been beaten up by me and still holds strong. None of the stitching in the shoulders have loosened at all and the draw strings and straps are still holding tough. Quick release straps. Another thing that's really stupid to get excited about but I like me some quick release straps. I'm constantly overworking and by the time i find a place to settle for lunch or bed down for the night I want to get to my gear and food fast. That's not a problem with this bad boy. Roomier than the back seat of a prom night Cadillac. You can fit a lot in the bag. I mean a lot. It's got retention straps for poles on the outside, it's got retention straps on the bottom for a tent or pad or civil war wool blanket if you're in to that kind of thing. The brain fits a lot inside there too. Mesh pockets on the side hold a lot too. It's a big ol bag Cons: The only real complaint I have is it's not really at all as breathable as advertised. It's not uncomfortable but your back can get really warm really quick. I typically fill my water blatter with ice cold water and put it in the sleeve that's conveniently asking the back cushion. Helps a lot with the breathing problem.

Bought this for a bug out bag, expecting to pack 3 days of clothes plus extras for heat/cool, space for devices and valuables. The contradiction seems durable with solid zippers, even though it lacks a number of chambers. It has a main top pack compartment with flat access via zipper flap, which was a selling point. However, it only has a few internal pounces and only one other major divided pocket on the back, large enough for phones, batteries, and sundries. The main section also holds the laptop/hydration pouch, making it difficult to access compared to side slots. One difference of import are the straps. They are sturdy, have D-rings, pouched and slots to hold small items and glasses, and more importantly have a restraining strap mounted to the pack itself, which allows a user to adjust how the pack sits - a huge bonus for comfort. The belt is also comfortable, padded, and had mole webbing to strap small packets. The top section holds the loose rain cover, which was a waste of space. I found a stuff sack for it, and now keep all my rain gear store in the top. The bag can hold work as a solid bugout, from the construction to the capacity. There are better bags out there, but at the sale price point (under $64) it can't be beat. It normally retails for $75. I'd keep my eye on this bag for the next time its $10+ off around the big sales.

Great backpack! 10/5/2017 Steal for the buck. Let me be honest, this is not maxpedition or military grade backpack. Don't expect a $450 quality backpack by paying $70. This is a modern everyday backpack with some military and backpacking technology added to it. I'm intended to use this has a hiking pack and I'm pretty sure it will hold up, I've used cheaper backpacks that had hold on and this will not be a exception. this is not has good has a kelty or a gregory, but will do it's job. The fabric on it is medium wear resistant and light weight. The back pack is BIG, but with the straps you can adjusted to be a little more discrete. Love the military look on it and the color. The buckles seem normal, again not military grade if that is what you are looking for, I really don't think they are going to snap at all, but will edit the review if they do. The suspension system is nothing to be amazed by just a regular well functional one, straps are comfortable and well made, no stitching issues that I noticed. and finally the yellow reflective cover is snug, well measured and keeps the backpack 100% dry (With the exception of the straps obviously). I would put 4 stars out of 5 for quality concerns if I had payed like $150 for this backpack, believe me for $70 (That is what I payed) you are getting A LOT! I don't know who I will help with this review, but if you are a amateur outdoor enthusiastic I think this backpack is a excellent upgrade to your Jansport piece of crap backpack XD, no offense! This pack is really comfortable and has a good deal of storage space. The frame, while adjustable, is not a full hard frame so you dont get the same performance if that is what youre looking for. Have used it on a 6 mile ruck so far and it has been great.

I liked the look of this pack it would fit my gear and budget. I looked at the reviews just to make sure and they seemed pretty positive so I took the chance. When I received the pack I looked into the “internal frame” and saw it was one rod with a stiff material around it, and honestly it made me a little sketched out. However I have taken this pack full of my SAR gear over 13 miles so far (had it only a week) and the pack is great. It’s very comfortable for my long body and it was easy to adjust. I always find that I have to readjust the straps on any pack when taking long hikes and this pack was no better or worse than the other packs I use. I will update with more details as I travel with the pack more but so far it’s craftsmenship is better than the price I paid for it. I would say the only complaint is that the pack sits pretty flush on my back which produces a lot of heat (not unlike when I go on a long hike I’m going to sweat a lot anyway). So far this pack is better than what I expected and I was able to easily adjust it so the weight sits well on my shoulders and hips.

Great bag, I love the waterproof and style of it, and has all the storage I need. However, on the first hike, one of the plastic buckles broke.
