Rich Froning Jr. is a legend in CrossFit and the Sport of Fitness, winning the title of "Fittest Man on Earth" three times in a row. This biographical documentary provides an exclusive look into his life, as a son, as a husband and as a new father as he embarks on a quest for his fourth CrossFit Games title. DVD features official "Froning: The Fittest Man in History" trailer, never-before-seen deleted and extended scenes, hilarious gag reel along with English subtitles for the deaf and hearing-impaired. Review: Well done! - Documentary type film, but very well balanced in my opinion. If you know just a little bit about Rich this will fill in some background and give you a deeper look into his life and beliefs. It is fun/entertaining but also digs deeper into what makes Rich... Rich. I think this movie was well balanced because there have been some real challenges in his life, with the loss of his cousins and in beginning his own family with Hillary, but the reason we are watching this film is because of his successes in Crossfit. This video did a good job of presenting both sides - success and struggle - and you get a taste of who the Froning family is and what they are about. The perspective didn't feel too biased in either direction and so my wife and I walked away with deeper respect for Rich and Hillary, and we were also encouraged to pursue greatness through struggle as well. s Review: Inspiring and Real - Surprisingly fresh and relatable, see Rich Froning's roots of family, rock-solid work ethic, and an indomitable drive to compete. This documentary not only shows Froning's climb to CrossFit gold, but his simple family life, as well. You'll see CrossFit Games directors, commentators, and athletes discuss Froning's pure, god-like talent. He's not human. He's a superhero. (One scene shows him train all day long with little regard to refueling his body with food or water!) It's also heartwarming to see Froning's road to fatherhood, discussions of adoption, a strong Christian faith, and a down-to-earth, loving wife. "Froning" provides the full picture of who the "Fittest Man in History" really is inside and outside the CrossFit arena. *Kid friendly and Christian-oriented, which is relief in a film like this. Even just the trailer for another similar documentary, "Every Second Counts: the Story of the 2008 CrossFit Games," has several F-words in it.

worth the wait
So well done. Good production values. This does a great job of showing more about Rich than just the crossfit. It does that as well; however, it interspersed with interviews of Rich and his family. Loved the more intimate look and seeing the softer side. Highly jealous of his eating habits. It was fun seeing the camaraderie between competitors that is the epitome of crossfit. Also if you are into cf, not much that you probably don't already know, except Fraser didn't drop the f bomb in these interviews. If you love the sport you will want to own it. I look forward to the time they do his second movie after he comes back and does this same thing in teams. (or just decides he doesn't like being out of control with the teams and makes a comeback)

If you're into CrossFit games or workouts, this is a must see.
What makes this worth watching is the portrayal of his level of fitness. It seems like he's a genuinely good guy with a nice family, but he's hardly a TV star or congenial screen presence. He's a focused athlete and impressive to watch. If you're into CrossFit games or workouts, this is a must see.

Loved it!
I lift but am not a Crossfitter. I very much respected the sport prior to watching this and Rich Froning has solidified my respect for the sport and its competitors. Great & motivating story with an awesome family. Love that he shares his Christian faith and praying in Jesus' name was not edited out. This is great for the entire family even if you're not into Crossfit :)

Great documentary! The cinematography was very well done and ...
Great documentary! The cinematography was very well done and the story line was well written. If you are a Crossfitter you will love it if you are not some you will probably say to yourself "i dont get why they are getting all worked up about a guy that works out that much." Any way that you look at it you will have to admit that Rich Froning is someone to look up to and emulate in all walks of life.

Great and inspiring guy
It's the story of Rich Froning's life but I would have loved to see how Rich Froning trains as a Crossfit athlete, his daily routine, what he eats and maybe some memorable moments from his four Crossfit wins.
