Review: Wonderfully Fun - Just Like the Previous 3 - This is the 4th book in this series about Hiccup Horrendous, unlikely heir to the Viking "throne" of the Hooligan tribe. These books were supposedly written as memoirs by Hiccup when he was an old man (and later found and translated by the author). This makes them less scary because readers know he couldn't have died during any of his adventures. Hiccup is not large and scary like the other viking boy bullys, but he has a great brain and is loyal. He is also a "dragon whisperer." As in the previous 3 books, he uses his talents to help his tribe. He ends up "saving the day" and comes one step closer to growing up and becoming chief, like his father. These books are full of dragons, sword play and "elementary boy" humor. For example, in every book something (ie, a monster) blows up or blows its nose, and the characters end up covered in disgusting snot or slime. They are also full of action (ie, running from dragons, being captured by enemies, etc.) My son, 8, LOVED this book as much as he loved the previous 3. He has always enjoyed playing with pirate and knight toys and reading books about them. Now he has added Vikings to this list (they are similar, after all). My son is a "reluctant reader," but he'll sometimes sit and read about Hiccup for 45 minutes (that's a lot for him.) This book is pur fantasy. I recommend it for any child who enjoys fantasy, pirates. and/or vikings. Review: Yay!! - I'm 85, and I LOVE DRAGONS! These stories are wonderful! I really like the font change and the translations for Dragonese.

I LOVED IT โคโคโคโคโค!!!!!!!
I love hoW to train your dragon Books. I for one loved the action. My only concern is that the rest of the readers might not like all the "Nearly died " action all together Wich costed you a quite valuable Star . That will be all, good day.

Love Toothless
I bought the first 5 books in a book store, but would love to write a review for the wonderful books. "How to cheat a Dragon's Curse" in the series: 'How to train your Dragon' is the fourth book in the Dragon series by Cressida Cowell. And I loved it from the first page. Love, love it. Love Toothless. Cressida has such an imagination, just wonderful. Well done. I am not a child, but still love it. I also love the movies, inspired by Cressida's books.

Hits the mark yet again
Yet another triumphant success in the Hiccup range of books. My son loves them. I have to make myself put the book down and stop reading to him because it is so enjoyable to read and very very funny. Kamikaze is fabulous, & can only hear her voice with a South Wales accent after hearing the wonderful audio CD version narrated by the sublime David Tennant. Am so happy there are so many more hours of dragon stories to read and enjoy after this one!

Another Gem from Cressida Cowell
In this fourth adventure, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III faces perhaps his biggest challenge yet when a deadly threat puts his best friend in danger. To save him, Hiccup must track down a legendary cure, all while dealing with Viking rivalries, ancient secrets, and the usual dragon chaos. My son (8) and I have absolutely loved the first four How to Train your Dragon books, including this latest one. Cowell just never seems to run out of new and fun ideas for her stories about Hiccup, Fishlegs, Toothless and co. She finds just the right mix of crass humor, over-the-top characters and genuine feelings and relationships. If you've read the first three HTTYD books, I can strongly recommend continuing with this fourth book, How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse. 5/5 stars.
