Lisle 14000 Parts Cleaning Brush

High quality, cleans well, stiff enough to clean hard on grime but will not scratch, should last through many cleanings.

I got into car detailing the the past couple of years. I've spent hours looking at what cleaning instrument works best for different jobs on a vehicle. One of them was a cleaning brush for use on the wheels of a car. So after looking around on Amazon and different websites, I decided to give the Lisle 14000 Parts Cleaning Brush a shot. This tool is a necessity when cleaning around the wheels of a car. It's small enough to get into tight spaces but big enough to do serious surface cleaning. It's also especially helpful when cleaning around lug nuts. When I received this in the mail, I was very happy with the size of it. It fits in the hand nice and felt very durable. The bristles were a little stiffer than I expected but I hopefully that wouldn't be an issue. When I was cleaning the wheels for a first time, the bristles remained stiff (and have done so after repeated use). While some people might prefer this, I don't. It would have been nice if they were a little bit softer. It takes some force to get them to all to flatten out when cleaning the surface of the rims but nothing extraordinary. It fit into the openings of the wheels nicely and did a good job of removing built up break dust. Again, I wish the bristles weren't as stiff as they are. On the plus side, I've only noticed a few of the bristles falling out. They're packed in their very tightly thus preventing it coming apart. Overall, I'm happy with the brush and don't regret purchasing it. But, I will be looking for one that doesn't have as stiff of bristles as this one. All things considered, this definitely deserves a spot on the shelf. I hope this review was helpful!

Makes cleaning bearings easier

This brush works well with an automotive parts cleaner - at least with a detergent based cleaner. It's solid, cheap, and works well. The only thing worth pointing out is that it's fairly soft bristles - if you are looking for a heavy duty brush to scrub away at mud and grease on your parts, this probably isn't the brush - this is more for gentle cleaning than heavy scrubbing. If that is your need, this brush works great!

Stiff bristles, great handle, robust construction and good length. Much better than the feeble brushes that come with a parts washer.
