SPORTLINK for iPhone 13 Waterproof Case, Black

Overall: If you're looking for a "LifeProof" / OtterBox Frē case, save your money and get this case instead! I bought this for an iPhone 17 Pro Max that already had an OtterBox waterproof case that was breaking on two of the corners. Because I've had the expensive cases already AND I know the nature of these types of cases (as I've had LifeProof cases for a LONG time prior to this), there are things you should expect including (but not limited to) sound issues (muffling of speakerphone/general audio), and screen visibility issues (from either glare or plastic-to-ceramic-shield water look). Here's my review as I hope it will help others: 1) The color: I got the basic black switching from my typical olive green and gold look. There were other colors available, but I decided to do black this time and was pleasantly surprised that the back was more of a slightly-opaque charcoal which makes the Apple logo visible. 2) The fit: Tight. Very tight. It comes with instructions on how to fit it properly to your phone (but who reads those, right?!) I was really worried when I got it to snap together because I know how hard they are to open again, but this one came with a case key just in case. The backside is etched perfectly for the camera area with covers for all three lenses, the flash, and microphone. They also accommodate for the LiDAR scanner. I've only taken a few photos here at the office and haven't run into any issues with photos (i.e. no issues with auto-focus, etc.) 3) The grip: It's like a slightly matted rubber squared-off grip making it easy to hold and maneuver. Slides in and out of your pocket with ease. The back is a hard matted plastic that, again, makes it easy to slide in and out of your pocket. The buttons are waterproofed, and if you follow the instructions (okay, I didn't at first -- my bad!), the buttons should line up. In my instance, I didn't align mine with the mute button (action button) as prescribed in the instructions. Luckily, I didn't seal the case at that point because the buttons didn't feel quite right until I removed the phone from the case, then placed it back in accordingly. My wish on this would be that the instructions are updated slightly to let the user know to align it with the "Action Button" rather than "Mute Button" as I don't think the iPhone 18 Pro Max, like my 17 Pro Max, has a dedicated "Mute" button as such. 4) Issues you should know now include what I said earlier -- Waterproof cases will muffle the sound a bit. These cases were designed to work with Bluetooth wireless devices and/or other wireless devices. Surprisingly, the wireless charging seems to work with a bit more heating up, but it also has a port on the bottom to work with your fast-charging USB-C cable. (NOTE: I have both a straight Apple USB-C cable and an Anker USB-C cable that features an angle on one end, and while the straight ends work just fine, the angled part of the Anker cable didn't fit quite right as it would reach through the case to the phone. So watch for angled adapters!) 5) I was also surprised that the case is compatible with the camera control button, BUT the camera controls become slower to respond so if you use the camera control frequently, this case might not be for you. Honestly, I'm happy with this one especially since it didn't cost $100 and still offers enough protection with the ease-of-handling design. If you're going after your first waterproof case, I can tell you that this one stands up to the expensive competition.

Love the case. I’ve dropped it multiple times and no damage to the phone. I did have a problem with the fingerprint. I couldn’t use it because of the plastic, so I pulled it off. I contacted Sportlink for help. They were very helpful and sent me a new one at no charge. Thank you Sportlink! Love this case!

I have never bought from this company before but I needed a new case for my iPhone 17. I was sold on the waterproof resistance, the fact that I could have a screen cover and military grade protection on the case for my very expensive phone. I have dropped, accidentally scratched my phone and dropped it in the river on a recent vacation. Not a single problem and the water resistance saved my phone. Just want to say thank you to Sportlink for providing a great product for a fantastic price. Thank you

Update 8/12/26. I recently bought another case to replace my other one from this same company. Unfortunately after dropping my phone a few times the black piece that covers the camera lense fell off, now exposing my camera. It won’t snap back on and idk how to fix it without risking ruining my phone. Due to this I am returning it for a refund since I’ve only had it a few weeks. Other than that, it was a solid phone case. But my camera is the one thing that I wanted protected on my phone besides the screen. We spend so much money on iPhones that I want it 100% protected at all times. Over the last 15 years of having iPhones, I’ve always had them protected and never once broke a screen, camera or anything else on them. So I’d like to continue taking care of my things. Due to that piece coming off, I did take one star away. I had good luck with the first case, I feel like this one just might’ve been defective. Also the case I bought for my mom’s phone is still holding up pretty good after 6-7 months or so. ******************************************** So far this is a great case. The price was great and not overly expensive. It fits great but the first one I received didn’t fit correctly over the camera portion of my phone. Like it wouldn’t snap shut completely so I requested a replacement. I believe the first case may have not been for an iPhone 14 and is why it didn’t fit properly. The cases look so similar so I guess it could’ve been an easy mixup when they packaged the cases. Either way this replacement fits perfect. It doesn’t interfere with texting or typing on the screen. I don’t have to push hard on the screen. There is not strange noises when I’m recording anything unlike other cases I’ve tried. Like it sounded muffled/echoed and/or had weird clicking sounds. None of that with this case. I can hear perfectly and others can hear me too without issues. Pictures come out great. One thing that’s kind of a negative but not deal breaker is when I’m listening to music or a podcast is it’s not as loud as I like it to be. However you can fix that by uncovering the charging cover so that is helpful to make it louder. Other than that this is exactly the case I was looking for. I wanted something that protects my phone 100% without exposing my camera and having to buy the glass you stick over the cameras. Those always crack. If this gets wet or you drop it, it’s protected. I also bought the he same case for my moms iPhone except for the 13. She’s also happy with it. Note to sellers, it would be so great for you to design a case just like this but with a built in wallet with either a snap chit closer or zipper. Back in the day we used to be able to buy cases like this for iPhones 11, but over the years no one’s really making them anymore. It’s a great feature to have without having to buy a sticky card holder for the back of these cases. Just a thought.

Our company upgraded our cellular contract and so we all received new iPhone 17’s. Because of the new phones, my current case would no longer work. After a lot of research and reading reviews, I decided to order this case. It arrived in good order, and provided instructions for testing that it really was watertight. All good! After testing, I put it on the phone and it went on easier than many of my past cases. Many are so hard to get on and off you think you’ll break your phone or the glass doing it. I keep my phones in these kinds of cases after some early iPhone mishaps. Now I won’t buy anything but a fully enclosed waterproof case. It feels good in my hand and doesn’t slip like some other cases (the crux of damage incidents). Can’t even tell there’s a cover over the screen. No distortion or discoloring at all. Also doesn’t block or intrude on the edges, so no problems with touch management at every edge. (My iPhone 14 case had that issue.) Buttons work great for easy management of the features. The bottom power port cover is firm but not hard to open, but I use my magnet cradle mostly for charging because this phone is USB-C and not 7-pin. (You can thank the Europeans for making the 20+ seven-pin cords you own now obsolete. LOL.) Overall a great case of you’re the kind of person who likes their iPhone to look “out-of-the-box” even years after you've had it.

I received my new case and could not wait to put it on my new phone! I love how easy it was to install and now, my phone is protected from the weather in New England! Shipping was fast, packaging a definite 10/10!

Bought this case for the new iPhone 16e. Case is a bit thick because it extends front and back a couple of millimeters beyond the phone to help protect it. The touch screen protector is more easily scratched compared to other cases I have used. There are several scrapes and scratches from just being used normally in only a months time which is very disappointing and I’m not tough on my equipment in any way. Touchscreen is otherwise responsive. Case is very durable once it gets put together, it comes with a plastic key device to open the case if needed. Another issue is that because the case extends front and back it can be a little fussy using a wireless charger. The gap formed by the ridge on the back, prevents the back of the phone from sitting directly on the charger... most times it couples with the charger but occasionally, I have to nudge it a bit to engage charging. Have not verified the waterproof function, but I believe it would indeed be waterproof and coupled with the 16e phone being waterproof as well it should be able to survive minor mishaps with ease. Sound is ok, just slightly muffled from the waterproofing but still acceptable. Camera protection lens is fine. Side buttons function well, the charging port access works with most cable ends however I had to file down one of my data cables molded plastic end slightly to be able to fit into the hole provided through the case. There is a small plug to seal the case when the port is not in use and the opening it fills is just a bit small for some after market cables. Not a big deal, just a note that you might have a similar issue. Generally like the case just disappointing that the screen protector isn’t quite as robust as expected.

So I got this case so that I would have a water proof case on vacation. This case did wonderful keeping my phone safe and dry. My biggest complaint off the bat was that it kept a switching my phone from silent mode to ringer on. I also left it on my phone so that I could just wash my phone as I pleased without having to worry about water. It did good for 6 months, but now it is falling apart and pieces are breaking off the corners. I’m waiting for another case to come in so it’s still on my phone right now but bits are just chunking off. So if you’re looking for a temporary waterproof case, this one is awesome, but don’t look to it as a long term case.

Dudaba de él y más por el precio, iba por opciones más cara pero me arriesgué con este y fue una grata sorpresa, literal me meto al mar con el en la bolsa del traje de baño por mucho tiempo, cero filtraciones, obviamente con la función touch y el agua a veces es complicado usarlo porque no reacciona a la primera pero para tomar fotos o videos está perfecto y para protegerlo de la arena. Excelente!
