Review: Rollercoaster enthusiast - I wasn't sure if this would be too much for a 7 year old but he loves rollercoasters and building so figured we could build with him if needed. The step by step instructions were very helpful and after the first 2 simpler builds that were straight and a hill, my son was able to build this mostly by himself. He tested and manipulated the loops to get it working and then explored putting coins in the carriage to weight it as different positions and weights. It was really good fun and unintentionally educational. The cost was definitely worth it. As he gets older reading the book and the controlled experiments will be great. For now it is fun.

I wasn't sure if this would be too much for a 7 year old but he loves rollercoasters and building so figured we could build with him if needed. The step by step instructions were very helpful and after the first 2 simpler builds that were straight and a hill, my son was able to build this mostly by himself. It was really good fun and unintentionally educational. The cost was definitely worth it. As he gets older reading the book and the controlled experiments will be great. For now it is fun.
