I found the chuck to be a great tool for my lathe an has helped more than a little in doing different projects an making it possible to turn we’re a face plate was the only option.Read a lot of reviews before buying an have found it to be top quality. No vibration an smooth running.

So this chuck...for a beginner, or someone on a budget, this is an excellent buy. It's beefy, haven't had any problems with changing jaws, comes with extra screws in case you drop them and lose them like I do, and I use it damn near every day. Issues with it are: you have to really crank down on the jaws to make sure they don't come open, as well as the screws that hold the jaws on. They will work themselves out in time if you don't. Also, there's just a looseness about the whole thing. Whereas tools that are better made have less tolerance allowed when being machined in the manufacturing process, this chuck was allowed more tolerance. It just doesn't feel "tight". I will continue using it in the meantime, buy look forward to the day when I can afford a nice, top of the line chuck.

I bought this to make my wood lathe more versatile and didn't want to spend a ton of money on it. I did strip out a screw but no issues to the jaws or chuck itself. This really opened up options for me and works really well. I used all of the jaws and the screw and have no issues with any of them. Total game changer accessory. Its fitted to a harbor freight bench top lathe when it's being used so you can really see where the expense nova type products just dont make sence for me. It's a nice entry to very lite production accessory maybe more? Time will tell, I have been on the lathe alot lately and will really put it through its paces.

This is a very nice wood lathe chuck kit, with a great fit and finish. I’ve used it a couple of times so far and have been very happy with the performance of this product.

The chuck seems to be well made. Tightening the jaws is not a smooth operation. The chuck does not rotate true and creates a lot of vibration. I also have a Nova 2 chuck which does not have any of the problems that this little one does. I was really hoping this would run smooth. It was a great value with all the different size jaws it came with.

Caution!- (No instructions included). If you are new at woodturning buy only if familiar with scroll chunks. This doesn't have instructions or any manual i could find. This chuck seems to work for what i need so far. It came with a bunch of jaws and extra screws in a metal case.

I really like my new chuck, and all the neat features that came with it. It’s help reducing labor time when making my pens, as I can do everything at my lathe.Very pleased with this product so far.
