Sturdy and strong
Having had a total hip replacement within the last week, I have had to make a few modifications to my home. Sitting up in bed was proving difficult. This bed ladder instantly solved any problems. Easy to install, made out of tough material, feel safe using it. It'll be necessary to check the straps over time as they'll inevitably loosen through use. Really pleased with this purchase which came up as Amazon's Choice.

Helpful post surgery
I bought this to help me get in/out of bed after a major abdominal operation, and it has been very useful. Retracting one star because it’s a bit faffy to fit and you definitely can’t do it yourself after coming home from hospital so either need help, or ensure you fit it beforehand. Mine sits around the middle of my bed frame and lies next to me in bed, and has been great for avoiding engaging my abs too much. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

does not comes with installation instructions.
strong item, however, as no installation instructions I had to improvise. This resulted in me tying it to the end of the bed underneath, Ottoman bed mattress support frame at the foot of the bed and using a triple knot on it. Its sturdy but left me wondering what the two plastic flimsy buckles were for. I couldn't work that out at all. Its working and helpful.. as I am recovering from surge5ry so need the aid of this to side upright and lower myself to the top of the bed.. However, this has made it rather short.. the knots.. for my 5 feet 4 height. I am keeping it and it IS helping me a lot - no instructions are a big failure on this.

PERRRRRFECT
PERRRRRFECT what a great thing i tied it to the larger one and it was perfect for my wife to pull herself forward in her bed as she can`t get out of it. some of my wife`s carers have even asked where i the ladder from and i have told them.

EASY DOES IT..
It's simple to install, less than 5 minutes, The ladder is just rightly spaced between EACH rung so that a slight lift upwardplaces you within easy reach of the next rung.Wish I had known about the idea BEFORE as it was my first fall and a week of struggling to get up, was awful. I tried this immediately and had a big grin on my face... it is a great boon NOT HAVING TO STRUGGLE - as before THANKS EVERSOMALC

Massive Help
I fractured 5 ribs and this has been a game changer during the endless recovery period.

Plastic smell
So disappointed in this. Got it for post c section to help get out of bed without rosking pulling. The smell of the plastic was horrible, we tried airing it, washing it ect and couldn't get rid of it. Even after we decided to not use it we had to get rid of it as the smell in the house was horrible, also came of on your hands when using it so had to wash your hands after every use (not helpful with a screaming new born). It was also difficult to install and the length was shorten than expected so provided very little assistance.

Very sturdy and helpful post surgery
Awesome for post ovarian cyst surgery! Easy to attach to bed. Sturdy and handles have good grip.

Very important product!
Important product when I had hip replacement. Almost impossible to get in and out of bed without it.Thank you for making this extra long one! My sister with Parkinson’s can reach it easier than regular one.
User
Length
Does job well but wish it were slightly longer due to longer begs (assuming you tie it to base of bed to pull yourself up)

Get it if you’re going to have abdominal surgery.
I absolutely love this thing. I got it due to a recent abdominal surgery but will keep it attached to my bed due to a bad back. I need to roll onto my side before getting out of bed normally to not set off my back pain. This helps in pulling myself up. It’s definitely a win. Was really helpful in my abdominal surgery recovery.

Decent, but not long enough for my queen bed
I think the concept of Bed ladders is absolutely brilliant but this one was a little too short and narrow for what I needed. I kept it anyway because I can use a second one in the living room. But it was a little too narrow in the handrails and not long enough for my queen bed. I ended up purchasing a much longer one with wider handrails and that was a better fit for my bedroom.
