LENTION 4-in-1 USB-C Hub, USB3.0, USB2.0, 100W Charging, Multiport Adapter

I actually ordered this right after I got my gold colored Mac and was just tickled that it matched! It turns out to be a really handy little gadget to have on hand. It works well all the time and I have had no negative issues with it at all . Since so many of the new laptops come without ports for DVD's or other external devices this is pretty much something you need to have on hand because someday in the middle of a project you are going to need it!

I bought this hub because my new refurb MacBook came with one USB C port and nothing else. I needed to expand available external connections since My backups are on an external SSD. The Lention hub sounded like a good option - not expensive and supports a variety of USB plugs. It also looks good. I found that the hub more than met my needs. The USB C and the USB 3 are super fast. I can charge the Macbook battery through the USB C while using one of the other plugs for the SSD or for a printer. The USB ports on the device have the minimum necessary separation so if the plugs have a large case or a USB thumbdrive is wide then it may not be possible to use all the ports at the same time. The manufacturer was faced with an engineering decision to balance accommodating several plugs with keeping the hub small. They made the correct choice in my opinion. I have not had a need to use all the ports simultaneously. Now for the service rating. I received the package a day earlier than promised. It worked only for a half hour. The Macbook kept telling me that I was disconnecting a device incorrectly even though I wasn't trying to disconnect. I contacted the manufacturer immediately by email since this product received some really good reviews. I sent the message on a Friday hoping to get a response the following Monday. Instead, I received on notice on Saturday morning that they were dispatching a new hub that day. I don't know when it arrived because I had to be out of town. The new device was there when I got back. It worked perfectly. The multiple follow-up emails were even more satisfying.

Update: they refunded my money since it wouldn’t work with my laptop so I’m raising my rating to four stars. They have good customer service. MacBook Pro and Air can/will experience issues with this Lention Hub. At first I thought it was a good fit but I've noticed if my Pro goes to sleep with the Hub plugged in, it's reluctant and slow to wake up. At times, the screen would stay black and I would have to remove the Hub and restart my laptop to get the screen back. Other times I would have to wiggle the mouse and tap the space bar for 2-5 minutes before it would wake up. I thought my brand new Pro was defective!! However, without the Hub attached, it wakes up lightning fast, so the issue is definitely the Hub. It did the same thing on my daughter's Air, which is what I originally purchased it for. I definitely do not recommend this Hub for either the 2020 MacBook Air or Pro models. Do not buy!

Uso no meu MacBook e é muito eficiente.

Does the job (lets me hook up an external hard drive to a one-port tablet so I can watch movies or whatever without depleting the battery). I was able to use its second USB port to power something else through the tablet's charge cable with zero issues as well, which did impress me. It's quality made, has a nice colour, and I've used it for months with not a single issue. Would definitely recommend
