Update 2 - This is actually a great product. What I discovered is that the Volume Up button on the TV remote, right next to where the lights are plugged in, was causing the mode from whatever you had selected to change to a chasing pattern. Apparently using the same signal, thanks Xfinity... LOL Back to a 5-Star rating. Update - after a few days of run time, the lights do not maintain the setting that you put them on. They jump around to diffeeent modes. At least they are not changing colors on their own, yet…… ——————- I buy and use a lot of LEDs for various projects, vehicles, RV, etc and these have some of the simplest and best colors and options I think I've ever seen. You can control from the included remote or the button on the USB power plug. I wish some of the other manufacturers, like the ones for my RGB whips on my SxS would have options like these come with instead of 276 patterns I'll never use. I doubt these would last long for outdoor use so they will be going into an inside Christmas display instead. Very happpy with them.

Beautiful bright fairy lights — great selection of colors! Easy to use remote

I'm currently using them for a second Christmas season. I took them to my school and decorated a bass drum with these lights for my band concert, and my percussion student was absolutely thrilled. I could plug them into an external battery so I didn't need to be near a power outlet. I brought them home and put them on my mantle but I lost the remote control. The button on the plug only cycles through a few options (mostly red) so I can't get my rainbow lights back without the remote. It's my fault I lost the remote but I am still enjoying them. I especially love the variety of colors and soft light chase style. As others have mentioned the pink and turquoise are very pretty and not in your typical light set. My photo shows these lights in my mantle; a different brand is on my tree and stair railing. I recommend finding an empty 3d printer spool to wrap and store the lights to avoid tangles.

Bright, fun, no worries about battery because it's USB. Exceptional quality with sturdy 3-filament string, and pearl LEDs that don't glare, they have zero ability to act like "lasers" because they're encased in milky drops of... idk what, maybe epoxy? Many instruction manuals have promised, but none have delivered, until now. You can press a color, like pink, then press a function, like strobe. And the strobe function will apply, while it's pink. Or fill, where the leds light randomly until the whole thing lights up, and then they turn off and start over. You can modify this with a speed and dimmer setting. Most multicolor or 16 color sets will do the colors. But they don't add dynamic things in each color, like chase and twinkle upon request. There are also holiday settings, plus red/green, red/white, and if you want red/white/green, you can get it from slowing down the strobe function and choosing red/green. It will flash, but not painfully and you'll get all three colors. Only thing missing is Mardi Gras purple/orange/green. What a small complaint though since two sets would get you that (halloween + green). You can get gold/warm white but it's likely to look a bit orange or yellow on this string. The white is cool white.The white color flickers if you choose fade mode and any color scheme that includes white. Only the white ones flicker though. Maybe that will be fixed in a future release. It's easy enough to avoid. The timer seemed to misfire on first try. The "in waves" setting stopped, and the color went back to steady and stayed there. The red LED indicating the timer was on, was lit. Yet the string didn't turn off. I'll have to try again.

These are so light and easy to put up I put mine up after shoulder surgery!! Bright, multiple patterns, beautiful!

I paid what for this? I expected a throw away thing, but it's actually very nice and pretty. I used it for a small Christmas tree in our small place and it's perfect. I like it enough to try and patiently remove it from the tree without breaking it. If you look at the video, you can see the animation of lights looking very organic and random, but when colors are changed it starts in waves. the waves will disappear until it's just beautifully undulating. There are other animations and static modes as well, but this is my favorite.

the lights seem extremely breakable, very thin wire, they put out nice colors despite no remote. i pulled the tab on the remote to activate the battery and it still didn't work. when i unscrewed the micro tiny screw to take the battery out it wouldnt open, and i ended up breaking it trying to get at the battery. the remote would have been a nice addition, but the lighting as is is good enough i guess
