Absolutely works!
I purposely did not write a review for this immediately after receiving it. I think those reviews really do not tell you the full picture because everyone is excited and then they rant and rave about it, not knowing that it should run through its paces beforehand. As of today, itโs been approximately nine months since Iโve had this machine. In fact-it is running right now as we speak. So, if you were expecting this machine to clean everything in your house, well, it wonโt. However, if you put it at the setting of an average clean, it will pick up the dust and everything else in between in the common traveled areas. If you place it on matrix clean, you will run the battery down and it will take a couple of sessions in order for it to clean your entire place based on the square footage of your home. One recommendation is to make sure every week you dump out the container or the collecting bin. Also, when you do, make sure you inspect what it has picked up when dumping!!! I had found that it my wifeโs missing earring, a few dimes and a missing screw that I was looking for for my key fob to the car. So make sure you are looking to see What the vacuum shot into its collecting bin. Also, in regards to hair, it will pick that up however, make sure you have a fine or small screwdriver available. The hair tends to bind up the bristle wheel that is next to its traction. If thereโs any long hair, or dog hair or what not it will end up collecting there and bind up the Pick up Wheel or spindle. You will have to unscrew two small screws and gently take it apart and get that tangled weave of hair out of there. There is a ball of it binding the wheel to make it free flowing. What will happen is over time, it will not spin as well, it will drain the battery because it had to work harder when working, and then you will get errors stating that the wheel is caught up somehow. It is because of that reason you need to make sure that you do a monthly maintenance check on this vacuum. Itโs just like any other robot vacuum / it can only do so much as itโs designed for. Constant preventative maintenance insures that your robot vacuum will operate properly like brand new. As in with bumping into things and so forth, it does have some hiccups where it cannot find the collection bin. You may want to make sure that the Wi-Fi is working properly in your house and also make sure that the base unit is plugged in properly. Iโve already had that happen to me a couple times because the vacuum Will sometimes pull out the cord when vacuuming around it- the cord is on the floor and then it has problems finding the charging base even when itโs right next to itโฆ.just a suggestionโฆ The app is very friendly to use, and you can set your zones, so customization is really user-friendly- once again. Also, this machine tends to find its way quite easily through all the areas corners, nooks and crannies. It operates in the dark because of its motion sensor, and Vacuums our entire floor in one charge based on its settings. 1750 Sq feet. It notices stairs, and also one feature I do like is that it does adjust to objects that are either stationary or if youโre standing in the way. Meaning, if youโre standing in the vacuum comes up to you it will work around you. It will then turn around to do the next pass. If it sees that that object is not there, it will come back And vacuum the spot where you were standing. Thatโs a very cool feature in my opinion. I also noticed that it does not miss or uncover typical open areas. They are very uniform when this robot is vacuuming those spaces, almost like a golf course lawn pattern. Once again: nice job in uniformity. If you are low on charge, the vacuum will stop, find the charging unit, recharge, and come back to the same exact spot and continue vacuuming until the whole (day task) is completedโฆ Keep in mind, this wonโt do everything, but it does keep the dust down. In tight corners, this will not be able to reach due to its circular design. The main key is to perform monthly maintenance on this vacuum if you are running this one to four times a week. If you maintain that which is very simple, approx 5-10 min of time, youโll be very pleased with this shark vacuum. I just bought another one for our downstairs because I am that impressed. Additionally, I purchased two extra batteries to make sure that this model is discontinued. I have enough prolonged extended time for this machine to keep going. This is a great investment. Good luck!

Why didnโt I buy one sooner?!?!
I love my Shark robot vacuum. I have 5 cats and daily had to sweep and vacuum up litter. I decided to break down and buy this little vacuum. It has saved me hours of vacuuming. I love that it has mapping and you can select areas you donโt want it to go. You can also create rooms for specific spot cleaning. It effortlessly goes between my dining room chairs and into tight areas between furniture. The best part is it REALLY WORKS!!! It collets so much cat hair dirt and debris. Every time I empty the bin I am shocked. My floors are clean every single day. The bin is the next best part. Not having to empty it after every vacuum is worth the extra you pay for the self emptying bin. You can send your vacuum out daily for a couple weeks and not even think about it. One of my favorite investments!!! Definitely worth every penny.

Decent cleaning capabilities, multifloor mapping is a pain
This is the first robot vacuum cleaner I've ever purchased. I took my time to observe the performance and quirks before writing this review. We have two floors in our house, and multiple cats. Pros: First off, the cleaning is quite decent. It might not be very good at deep cleaning, but - pardon the pun - it doesn't suck! More than cat hair, I am very bothered by kitty litter spread around by our felines. This cleaner does a pretty good job of cleanup there. It is also fairly good at obstacle avoidance, although it does try and climb two X-shaped keyboard stands that I have in our bedroom. But it hasn't ever been stuck anywhere. In addition, the 2nd floor also has a staircase. The first time I used it on that floor, I was expecting it to go crashing down the stairs. But this little thing has excellent sensing and braking skills and stops in time quite well. Unlike the experience of others who have provided feedback here, I had no problem with connecting it to the WiFi. I have not had the good fortune/misfortune of connecting with customer support. Hopefully, I never have to, given what some other reviewers have said. It is quite good at getting back to home base, emptying itself, and recharging. Barring one or two occasions when it did not restart the cleaning, it has worked quite well at completing the cleaning. Cons: This thing is very noisy, no question about it. But I don't use it at night when I'm trying to sleep. I think the noise does not really matter much for me. Also, if it is doing a good job cleaning, I expect it to be revving up to suck up more junk from the carpet or bare floor. As mentioned earlier, we have two floors. Which leads me to the mapping issues. This thing simply refuses to map and retain the layout for two floors. The app is functional and fairly good at telling me what the mapped layout is. But I have to ask it to remap each time we move it from floor to floor. This is definitely a pain in the you-know-what. Also, we usually "prepare" each floor before starting the cleanup. This means moving stuff out the way, closing doors to bathrooms and closets so it does not map those out. However, I have noticed that the mapping seems to be just a guide of sorts. On the few occasions that we accidentally left a door or two open, the device merrily traipsed through those doors and started cleaning up there as well! Fortunately, there were no mishaps, because those rooms had not been "prepared" for the cleaning. This problem of not being able to retain the layout of more than one floor at a time is the biggest flaw. Perhaps I missing something in the way the app works. If so, the app is rather non-intuitive and not simple enough to use. I have also not used its integration with Alexa. In fact, were it not for the specific rating request at the top of this review, I would not have even know it had the integration. Overall, while there is scope for improvement, I am reasonably happy with the product. I just wish they could fix the multi-floor mapping issues. Ideal would be if this thing could climb up and down the stairs and make it one big layout! But then, I might be asking for a bit too much.

Love this vacuum!
We have had a roomba for about 15 years now. The one was had was a โdumbโ model, it only knew where it was by running into something and missed huge pieces of the room every time it ran which caused us to have to go around and sweep and vac behind it anyway. This shark went on sale and I figured it was time to take the plunge. I am glad I did! Set up was easy, connect the app, let it map your house, and thatโs about all. You have to fill the clean water tank and then itโs ready to run. It was neat to watch it map the house. As far as in use this thing is great. Itโs extremely quiet compared to the one we had previously and also compared to a normal vacuum. It does a great job of cleaning going back and forth in rows and not missing areas. It also doesnโt bump into anything which is nice! When itโs done with the vac portion and it docks the internal vac on the dock empties the dust bin of the shark and itโs ready to go again, you just pull off the dust tank of the dock and empty periodically. The mop feature is also excellent. Before you mop the first time allow the shark to run โcarpet detectโ in your home and itโll find the rugs and such and avoid mopping them in the future, itโs amazing. It mops just as well as it vacs, in rows, not missing areas. When complete it goes to the dock and empties the water tank, cleans the pad, and starts charging to prepare for the next run. The dirty water tank needs to be emptied and cleaned from time to time but thatโs pretty simple. The nastiness in this tank will show you just how well the shark is cleaning! The only โthingโ about it is that I donโt see how anyone can go a month without cleaning the dirty water tank, the dust bin, and filling the clean water. We have a small house and we have to do those things at least 2-3 times a month. Perhaps if youโre cleaning a single room, I donโt know. Thatโs not really a complaint though, just a mention since it is advertised as not needing anything for a month. All in all this was a great purchase, worth every cent, especially on sale. If youโre thinking about it just go ahead and buy. This vac absolutely delivers on what it says.

RUN AWAY - Serious quality issues with the mop water buckets - constantly leaking and cracking.
UPDATE: my initial review was 5 stars and opinion of this robot was quite high. However, after 4 months of ownership, Iโve started to have nothing but problems with this unit. The clear water containers used to hold the mop water have serious quality control issues. Iโve had the base mop reservoir replaced under warranty due to random cracks that formed in the plastic on their own, constantly leaking water into the base. Soon after, the robot kept giving error after error, not running as expected, always giving an error stating an issue with the flap (error number 9), and again leaking mop water from the robot. After an inspection, I found more of these cracks in the clear plastic on the mop reservoir for the vacuum itself, one of which actually caused an entire screw mount to completely break off causing the flap to not function โ so this component also got replaced under warranty. Now just a couple weeks since my last base reservoir was replaced under warranty, I have cracks yet again forming in the plastic. Iโm not doing anything crazy here. I have hardwood floors. I replace the water when it runs out. Mops twice per week, vacuums once per day. Nothing out of the ordinary at all. Thereโs a serious quality issue with whatever plastic materials Shark is using for the clear components. And hereโs the best part โ now that Iโve had to call numerous times for this very obvious defect, Shark customer support has told me THESE PARTS ARE NOT UNDER WARRANTY. WHAT?! Apparently they only cover the โbaseโ and โrobotโ itself. Nothing for these water tanks. So I guess they think these are consumables? Either that or Shark is very aware that these components are junk and are just trying to charge their customers for them at this point to recoup their costs. If you push back on them, theyโll eventually offer a free part, suggesting a goodwill effort, but still make you pay for shipping. Honestly insane. I purchased the product. I expect the product to function. I should not have to bear the burden of any additional expense because of defective parts. Iโve had to escalate this issue through Sharkโs support to their head offices. I think theyโve got an issue leading all the way back to their manufacturers. Until this is clearly resolved and addressed, I cannot recommend this product to anyone. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Performance The vacuum and mop functions work exceptionally well, especially in a home with a dog. Running the vacuum daily and the mop every three days keeps my floors nearly spotless. It handles 90% of the floor cleaning effectively, leaving only 10% of edge and baseboard areas for occasional manual cleaning. Convenience The self-emptying vacuum and self-cleaning mop make it a โset and forgetโ device. During a full clean, it typically returns to the base once to empty dust and refill water. Navigation is excellentโit finds its way back home without issues. My 1,500 sq ft main floor uses just over 50% of its charge for a complete vacuum and mop. Obstacle Handling The robot handles most obstacles with ease and navigates tight areas efficiently. Iโve only had to rescue it once when it picked up a clothes hanger left on the floor. Mopping Efficiency The mop pad agitates back and forth for a thorough clean. The spot-cleaning mode is particularly impressive, as the bot moves incrementally and spins to ensure deep cleaning in the designated area. App and Voice Control The app communication can be slow and unresponsive. Once an action starts (e.g., spot cleaning), youโre locked into the sequence until it finishes. This can be frustrating if you make a mistake, like selecting the wrong room or cleaning mode, since thereโs no way to interrupt or override the command mid-process. Alexa integration is disappointingโmost commands are met with confusion or failure to execute. Noise Level The vacuum itself is quiet, but the base is quite loud during the self-emptying and pad-cleaning process. You will not want this running while you sleep because the self empty is going to keep you up once the vacuum gets back to base. Maintenance Switching out the mop water and emptying the dust bins is simple and only needs to be done every other week. Summary Overall, this Shark robot vacuum mop cleaner excels at automating daily chores, though the app and voice control could use significant improvement. If I could knock the review down a half point for this, I would. However, its performance and convenience outweigh the minor drawbacks, making it a worthwhile addition to any home and warranting a 5 star review. Easily one of the best purchases Iโve made in a long time.

Quality product at a REASONABLE price!
Let me start this by saying I bought this product on my own and DID NOT receive it for free so this is an honest review from someone who actually spent the money on this product. I have an Australian Shepherd who blows his coat twice a year (aka sheds all day, everyday all day). If you donโt keep up with the hair... itโs like the wild wild west with tumbleweeds just floating across my carpet and hardwood floors. I have been looking into buying a robot vacuum for a while to help with maintenance vacuuming in between vacuuming with my shark upright duo clean (which is my second shark vacuum and it is absolutely amazing). I was looking at Roombas for a very long time but was hesitant as the price was so expensive and the lesser models I thought were not going to do a good job so I was looking to spend almost $1000 for the 900 model and almost pulled the trigger. Then I came across this shark ion robot vacuum by chance when it came out a week or month or so ago I believe. I waited to see some of the reviews on here and then went ahead and purchased it and boy am I glad I did! It has been well worth the $350 I paid. I canโt say Iโve ever owned a rumor but my parents have and comparing their experience and the experience as I have read through several reviews I believe that this vacuum meets up to the same standards at a reasonable price. It does a wonderful job of picking up the dog hair, I was actually surprised of how much it actually picks up. Almost as much as my Shark upright. It also doesnโt really good job of picking up the find debris such as dust, dirt and sand. Also does a great job on larger debris such as dog food, leaves, grass, bark and other things that get tracked in from the bottom of shoes. I have used my upright directly after a robot cleaning just to see how much more I would get up and honestly I was surprised that it was minimal hair and debris and I mainly think it is because the vacuum canโt obviously get into every, nook, crany and tight corners. I have used the app and scheduled timer and so far it works great. I love that you can start it and stop it away from home. I love that you also get alerts on exactly what is going on and what is wrong with the robot vacuum when itโs not working. The only problem Iโve had is that it was getting stuck under a shelf and I easily fixed this problem with the magnetic tape that came with this product. It bumps into the magnetic tape and keeps on doing itโs job. I like that it has a low profile clearance though so it can go under my bed and other pieces of furniture that have a higher clearance where a lot of dust and hair or not reachable with an upright vacuum. I do pick up the dogs toys and chewys to make sure it does not get stuck on them. It does take a while to find itโs charger when running out of battery but it is just a robot and it makes sure it holds enough battery so it can do so. Iโm pretty happy with the battery life. I live in a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a walk in closet, decent size kitchen and living room/dining room area. It is approximatley +900 ft.ยฒ and can clean all of it in one charge. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this to any family or friends and also to you. I would like to finish this review by saying it will not replace your upright vacuum but is a wonderful tool for maintenance vacuuming especially for someone with OCD like myself. I will update this review if I have any problems in the future. Thank you Shark for another well made product at a reasonable price!

Side brush error renders entire vacuum completely useless!
After a lot of research, I purchased this vacuum a year and a half ago. I was primarily looking for a self emptying robotic vacuum that would pick up lots of long dog hair. I loved this vacuum until this weekend when one of the side brush motorโs apparently burned out rendering the entire vacuum useless. The vacuum will not move an inch without shutting down and saying that the side brush is stuck and to clear the obstacle. Checked both side brushes numerous times and Nope! no obstacle, not even a Speck or strand of hair. When we were actually able to get the vacuum to move a short distance it was apparent the left brush was not moving. We took everything apart and there is absolutely no obstruction, so the only thing we can assume is the motor has given up. Itโs a shame that the design of this โAIโ vacuum renders the entire vacuum useless simply because one side brush isnโt working. The vacuum will not work at all until you clear the error message. Ergo my problem! I will say it did a terrific job of picking up dog hair (I have a golden retriever) and the wall unit is very powerful and empties the vacuum out very well. We do ensure that we clean out the dust bin (in the wall unit weekly) and clean the filters (both wall unit and the vacuum) weekly as well. We cleaned the roller brush etc on the vacuum every few days because we use the vacuum daily. We have only wood floors with some small throw rugs and the vacuum gets most of the house done before needing to go back and recharge. ~2,000 sqFt house. Other than this issue, itโs a terrific vacuum. Iโm very disappointed in this vacuum not lasting longer and becoming completely unusable due to one side brush issue. If it looked like I could replace the side brush motor assembly I would gladly do so, but the design doesnโt look like this would be an easy consumer fix. Now my dilemma is what to buy to replace it?? Iโm thinking of buying another if the same but quite leery of the same thing happening all over again. I understand a vacuum doesnโt last forever, but for $450 it should last more than a year and a half!

Game Changer!
So I actually bought this in July of 2022 but did not open the box however until January 2026...yeah I know stupid on my part! We were remodeling and replacing carpet to hardwood floors so I thought this was a good idea, we were not quite finished so I left it in the box and quite frankly forgot about it, again I know stupid on my part! I am seriously kicking myself in the butt for not using it sooner! I have been using Minny everyday since the end of January and what a game changer she is! We have 2 short haired, hound mix dogs and 2 short haired cats and she seems to get their hair, our hair and ALL the dust bunnies! I do have to say with the XL cup, I still have to empty it every other day but I have not really swept in 3 months, that used to be an everyday job! Unless something big gets tracked in of course! I have had no issues with the app or wifi connection and the house mapping is spot on! My only issue is in the last few days is an error needing to clean out debris. I simply can't find anything wrong and I do empty out her internal cup once a week due to hair build up! Today I pulled her apart because clearly there is something wrong and I found so much hair wrapped around the roller internally that you would not see just by turning her over and looking! I took some pliers and pulled it out and used the air compressor to give her and her filters both on her and in her docking station a good cleaning and shes now good as new! I added pictures so you can see where I'm talking and yes that's before cleaning her which took about 45 minutes total! I do have new rollers and filters for replacements but I'm not quite ready to change them out! Also, there is something much fine dust she is picking up and I am impressed as heck about that!!! Overall I love this little robot and she does a great job, takes her about 80 minutes to clean the1200 square foot upstairs of the house and i love her!! I am very pleased with Shark products and this one is no different! No issues that can't be fixed with a little maintenance on my part and well worth it!!

A pet owner must!
This has been a house saver! Our labsky and long haired kitty were driving me wild with the amount of cleaning I had to do with all the hair. This has reduced the workload and I'm so grateful we invested in one. We unload it everyday because of all the hair and stuff it picks up. It runs on time and love doing it first thing when I get up to keep an eye on it. The only con is it gets stuck on our screen door track, but problem solved by closing it. It will get caught in clothes and towels left on the floor, so run it only when your floors are clear of that. 200$ sounds like a lot, but it has paid for it self with saving me time, energy and stress over cleaning. Put it in your cart and buy it if you want something to help you maintain cleanliness without the headache.

Worst Product Ever!
1- Does not work in the UAE as an app (need to download an apk) 2- after working for 2 days - it broke - does not self empty 3- Suction power and maintenance is bad. Do not waste ur money. other options are better i got the Roborock Q7 max and is wayyyyyy better and is supported.

Great vacuum, auto empty good for pets
This is great for pet hair, although if you have multiple pets I expect the "60-day-capacity base" is more like a "7-day capacity base". Still, it's better than emptying the bin after every use, and the base doesn't require bags. I'm amazed (and slightly disgusted) at how much pet hair it continually brings back. The rollers don't seem to get fur tangled, which is great, but it doesn't have good luck with twist ties or small bits of hay. Object avoidance is pretty decent -- it doesn't really crash into anything, and just lightly taps things. Hard enough to knock my cordless drill over, but not hard enough to push a mostly empty bottle across the floor. It mapped out my area on the first try, although dividing the area into rooms was difficult. I wish I could just draw a line where rooms separate, instead of having to draw boxes around the rooms and try to connect the box edges. I wish it had real-time location on the map like many of it's competitors do.
