How big is the cave opening, length and height?

Yes,this will fit perfect in a 20 gallon tank.I got it for my 40 gallon and it's too small so I built it higher with some rocks.

Does this item float or is it heavy enough to stay put in a tank filled with water?

It is heavy enough to stay in water! Or so I believe. Mine is in my bearded dragons tank but it does got some weight to it

My aquatic turtles love to dig into gravel & hide sometimes.. is this good/deep enough to put gravel on the top part?
