Update: Still Working Well After Almost 2 Years
Edit Aug. 31, 2024, Absolutely no change in brightness or quality. These GE plug in ultra bright lights have been on for almost 2 years straight. Money well spent. Edit Oct. 10. 2023: Still going strong, no change after all this time. I haven’t touched them since the time I mentioned below. Excellent buy if you’re looking for a bright light. I’m actually about to purchase another set for my office where a low light night light isn’t cutting it. . 1st review Oct 2, 2022: I buy a lot of stuff on here with my own money but don't often feel compelled to leave a review. These GE Ultrabright LED night lights definitely deserve one, though. We moved into an older house that doesn't get a lot of light in the front rooms during the day, so you can imagine that it gets extremely dark at night. The hallway gets very little ambient light during the day from the other rooms. There are not a lot of electrical plugs and the hallway light is only accessible from the middle of the hallway. We definitely needed a good light source for the hallway and one for the living room for when we needed to walk around at night. I did a lot of research and buying of different auto shut off and off/on night lights that were too low light. They were ok for other uses but not for the hallway or living room. I finally found these night lights and bought them on November 2, 2021 and it is now October 5, 2022. These lights are still going strong with absolutely no issues. We use one in the hallway that I at first would turn off during the day. I gave up on that after a few days and just leave it on all day, every day, since there's nothing more "fun" than coming out of my office after dark while working from home into a pitch black hallway/house. This allows us to not ever have to turn on the hallway light unless we need a super bright light on, or have company over (only so they don't think we live in constant dimness, even though we do lol. We like it like that, ok??). The other night light is in the living room closest to a bay window and is on auto shut off mode. This one gets enough light to shut off during the day, plus it gives off a bright enough light at night where I can easily see to walk around and don't have to turn on the lamps. At first I thought they were too bright. I will say that if you are planning to use one of these in your bedroom or to have one in the hallway with the doors open, these might not be the lights for you. They are BRIGHT without being overhead light bright. We leave our bedroom door open, which took some getting used to for my partner. I, however, am not a fan of the pitch black dark, so I love them. I know nothing about how much electricity these use, though I would be interested in finding out. I don't think it's listed here on the page. However, our 1930s 3 bedroom home has the (updated) central air on blast throughout the summer and the heat goes strong throughout the winter but our electric bill is around what we expect. Just know that these lights are excellent if you're looking for BRIGHT soft white lighting at an excellent cost.

VERY bright cool white illumination, probably a lifesaver in the long term
Grabbed a 2-pack just in case. I don't know what kind of lifespan these things have, but GE has long been a reliable brand. These are marked as Made In Cambodia. As much as I quite fervently wish these were still made Stateside, I find myself not minding *Cambodia*. Usage case & specifics on why I got the 2-pack: Stuck this guy in the bathroom out of pure necessity, since whoever planned our apartment renovations thought it a good (!?) idea to install these high quality Leviton light switches with 10 minute *timers* on them in the *bathrooms*. Everywhere else, there are the standard extremely nice Leviton Decora style switches. It's been a bit perplexing. However, I do not wish to bother our already overworked but very good Maintenance guys with piffle such as swapping a bathroom switch with a hallway switch - where a timer MIGHT have been a slight bit more proper. I won't attempt to do this myself either, so I decided on the best possible alternative. As far as function and fit, this Big Ugly Fat Fellow of a night light went perfectly into the GFR power socket right under a corner of the new medicine cabinet. Switched to the middle Auto setting to test it, played a little Lightswitch Rave, and it works, er, brilliantly without hesitation or flicker. It is definitely very VERY bright for a "nightlight" in that it illuminates the entire bathroom quite effectively AND SAFELY enough for me to effortlessly see my way around without any feeling of uncertainty. Thus, if I'm grabbing myself a nice hot shower in the (preferred) evenings, I will not be placed at hazard by the accurst bathroom light timer... turning... off... the... main... freakin'... light. Finally: The sensor for this specific model is a light sensor & not a motion sensor, meaning my cat won't be able to play Lightswitch Rave by doing the old Lemmy In!/Lemmy Out! trick.

I like them, but just a bit on the "very bright" side
Very bright. Very bright. In some case is almost a little too bright. But they were great auto function great.

Super super bright! Too bright for bedroom, but good for kitchen or living room at night.
These lights are super bright! I originally bought them for a bedroom and bathroom night light, but they are way too bright for that. So instead, I put one in the kitchen and one in the living room and before I go to bed I turn them on. They keep those rooms illuminated all night instead of pitch black. The only other thing that didn't work well, is they are supposed to have a light sensor position, and turn off during the day. They do not ever turn off in my home, so they must require a lot of direct light to turn off. Overall, for the re-purpose for I am using them, I'm very happy with them. For anyone using their overhead oven light at night, this is a good replacement.

Very Bright
These are great, small enough to not be in the way but very bright. Has a switch for always on or auto. Would buy more in the future.

Six years and still going strong
I bought this light six years ago and have had it on auto mode in the hallway continuously since then. It is still going strong. It is very bright, which makes it work well for the hallway. It might be too bright for a bedroom.

Fantastic
I needed something other than my overhead light for the litter box area in my windowless basement, something that can stay on 24/7. These are fantastic. They seem sturdy - like they will last a long time. Bright and simple. Would def buy again.

Perfect Ambient Light — Bright When You Need It, Invisible When You Don’t
I honestly didn’t expect to like these as much as I do. The GE Ultrabrite LED Light Bar Night Lights are the perfect balance of clean design, smart functionality, and practical brightness. The dusk-to-dawn sensor works flawlessly—turning on automatically when the room gets dark and shutting off in daylight without me ever thinking about it. The light output is just right: bright enough to safely light hallways, bathrooms, or kitchens at night, but soft and diffused so it’s never harsh or blinding. It creates a calm, modern ambient glow instead of that cheap “night light glare” you get with others. I also love the low-profile light bar design. It looks sleek and intentional, not bulky or outdated, and it doesn’t block the second outlet. Plug-and-play setup took literally seconds. Bonus points for: ✔ Energy-efficient LED ✔ No switches or buttons to mess with ✔ Great for kids, guests, and nighttime safety ✔ Works perfectly in hallways, bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchens If you want set-it-and-forget-it ambient lighting that actually looks good and works exactly as advertised, this is an easy buy. I’ll definitely be picking up more for other rooms. Highly recommend. 👌💡

Muy buenas lamparitas. Duran mucho y dan una buena luz. La opción de encendido automático es muy útil y funciona muy bien. Laa recomiendo.

Lights a clear path
We bought these lights because we have a sick, senior cat and we wanted to make sure she could get around safely at night. Like people, their eyesight gets weaker as they get older. We didn’t want the lights to be so bright that they would keep us awake. We placed these lights in four outlets and they are just what we needed. They light a path that is closer to the floor, almost like a runway. They are fairly bright and would be too bright for our bedroom for example. If you need a fair amount of light I highly recommend them. They come on at dusk and turn off at dawn but also have an on or off feature.

perfect for my Loved One in his care facility bathroom
this night light fit the outlet in his bathroom perfectly. I used it sensor up and "always on" so that he would never be in a dark bathroom. Appreciate just how subltly bright it is. Just right for the space. I say it's subtle in that it doesn't impact his sleep in the main area of his room, but bright enough to guide him to his bathroom and useful for finding his way around. I like how it came in a two pack, so i will have many hours of light before i have to repurchase. Worth the $20 Can.

Extremadamente brillantes
