What an excellent workbook!
The Kumon Simple Addition Workbook has been a fantastic resource for introducing fundamental math concepts to my six-year-old. When tackling early arithmetic, repetition and structure are key, and this book excels at both. The workbook follows the classic Kumon method: highly systematic, step-by-step learning. It starts with single-digit addition, focusing heavily on rote practice to build speed and accuracy. The pages are straightforward and uncluttered, preventing young learners from feeling overwhelmed by too much visual noise. The predictable format builds confidence, allowing kids to work through the exercises with increasing independence. While some might find the repetitive nature dull, that focus helps a child internalize the addition facts until they are automatic. The large print and clear examples are perfect for beginners. If a reliable, no-frills tool is needed to ensure a child has a rock-solid foundation in basic addition, this workbook is excellent. Itโs a purposeful practice guide that delivers measurable results.

Pretty pointless.
This workbook was only addition of +1 and +2, which was way too easy for my almost 5yo. He said it was boring and didn't do more than a few pages. Most of the pages actually had the answers already which they had to trace. I like most of the kumon books, but this one was pretty pointless and a waste of money.

Simple addition but too repetitive!
Good book, but too repetitive and hard to keep little kids engaged.
