Great scanner at the right price point!
This scanner is so easy to use and gives great results! No cropping needed. You have to scan in each one individually, but it's quick, and a lot of pictures won't batch scan anyways since they stick together, so I wasn't concerned about that feature. So happy to finally find a scanner where I don't have to lift the lid to place. I've scanned thousands of old photos as well as documents & memorabilia. Highly satisfied at a great price!

Does a great job scanning pictures.
Easy to set up. Easy to use. Scans pictures very quick. Excellent quality to the pictures. I had decided to scan all of our old photographs, mine and my wife's going back to when we were babies. Then add in all our grandparents and kids and I'm talking several hundred if not thousands! I am having a blast using it!

Great photo and doc scanner!
Love it! It is so easy to use and I've already scanned many pics in a short time. While it is a "pricey" item, it is worth it for preserving pics & docs digitally.

Great quality and functions. Love this scanner.
Love this little scanner. Easy to use. Lots of functions to enhance old photos. The colors in the scans are really good. Well worth it if you have thousands of old photos to digitize. We previously spent $400 more than this one for a ScanSnap and It was terrible. Only a few things they could improve upon: a better physical guide so the photos feed straight and a feeder so you don’t have to feed the photos individually. These are really the only reasons for not giving it 5 stars. The quality and functions are 5 stars. It also is NOT a duplex scanner (doesn’t scan both sides if you have captions on the backside). However, once you start adding this feature you are into a more expensive scanner. Highly recommend this scanner. We love it!

I Love This Scanner
Like many others, I have multiple boxes of old photos, and I've started on the project of converting them to digital images. I put a lot of time into researching photo scanners, and the ones I was interested in were pretty pricey. Timewise, this project is out of the question using the flatbed scanner available in my printer. After a lot of research, I decided on this Plustek scanner. I've had it for about 7 or 8 months now, and I love it. You can scan up to 50 photos at a time with no buttons or adjustments - just feed the photos in one at a time. At 300dpi, the process is fast. The images drop into Plustec's software, and you have the ability to do some editing and color adjustment. I've found that this software works well for me, is easy to use, and is all I need. I just want to get all these photos scanned in and organized and I'm not terribly interested in any serious editing at this point. I'm especially happy with the color enhancement that's available for those old color photos from decades past that are fading or turning yellow - it really gives those photos new life, just by clicking on a button or two. I have other photo editing software on my laptop, and I'll worry about serious editing later, if I even decide to go that far. After I've made any quick color adjustments, I just move the photos onto my hard drive, where I can organize them., and save them on an external hard drive. The Plustek scanner does a great job and has a very attractive price tag. The user manual is detailed and very helpful. I've heard good things about the customer service, but I haven't needed to use it. There's also a case available for it here on Amazon, and I keep it in the case on my desk to eliminate dust. The scanner doesn't take up much room on the desk, so I keep it there to work on my scanning project when I have a little extra time. I recommend this scanner for anybody who's looking to tackle a photo archiving project without breaking the bank.

Love this scanner for old photos
This is so easy to use when you have a bunch of old photos you want digitalized. Very easy to use. Much, much faster than using a flatbed scanner for bulk processing. Scans well. A little bulky, but the box works well for storing and moving .

What a time saver!!!
This thing is brilliant! I had pursued using one of those services to scan all my documents/pictures, but it just got too complicated. I took a chance on this device with okay reviews, and I'm so glad I did! It's incredibly easy to use, and the 300 DPI setting is more than adequate for my photos. It's fast, it easily lets you change the settings, and the best feature, which I hadn't even thought about, is that it crops everything to the size of your item. I started this whole process on my printer scanner, but then I had to crop every single image. This made that problem disappear! It made such quick work of my document scanning, I am overjoyed! Best purchase I've made in a long time!

This little photo scanner works really well. It is easy to use and scans pictures fast (a few seconds per pic). It shipped very quickly. You can set the "prefix name" of pictures so if you are scanning from a trip or something you can set the initial name of the pictures and it will add a counter on the end so you don't have duplicate names. The scan resolution is 600dpi and it isn't perfect but the quality is decent and honestly absolutely worth it to get rid of the boxes of pictures we inherited from family. The scanner comes with a CD which is useless to most computers these days but the software can be downloaded from the Plustek website (last updated Apr 2021) and it has some nice features for cropping and optimizing image quality of the scanned images along with setting the scan location so pictures can be saved to cloud storage right away. Note a 600dpi 4x6 picture is between 5 and 13 MB (depending on colour and complexity of photo) Overall, extremely happy with this purchase, well worth the $ compared to an Epson Foto which is over twice the price!

Perdere 30 minuti a foto........avrei finito fra 20 anni!!!! Per me quindi consigliatissimo. Roberto.

When I started to look for a photo scanner I was going to spend £400 plus on a multi-feed scanner, I'm glad I didn't. As it's very unlikely the very small photos from 40 - 90 years old would have been able to go in the auto feeder. That said this is a great piece of kit and works very well. you have to feed each photo but take's in the photo once the photo reaches a certain point and scans very quickly. I have scanned over 1500 photos over about 10 hours and this includes filing them etc. far quicker than an all-in-one lifting and placing each one. I already have four other scanners 2No A4 BW both sheetfed, 1no A4 single sheet colour and 1no A3/A4 multi feed/single sheet colour. Three are Brother, one HP. All are very good but none does this job as well as the Plustek Some reviews complain about the software but it does what it says on the tin its simple to use and once you get into the rhythm very easy. There is a limit of 50 photo for each batch but all you have to do is save this batch in a location of your choice and start again you can scan 1 or fifty it doesn't matter and save each time. The quality is fine and when you consider the age of some of the photos you are likely to scan and the cameras our ancestors used. This scanner brings out a good image sometimes better than the original. I am very pleased with it. One note, this scanner does not scan negatives for that you would need a Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE which is about £300. It's been very good value for money especially when you consider the competition.
