Can this be modified such that the white led arc is a drl and not tied to parking lamps?

I would assume if the vehicle had drl before you could tie it in. My vehicle didn't so I just left it the way it is. I'd ask the manufacturer to be sure.

Hello, yes these will work as long as your vehicle has factory LED accents on the headlight.

Will this work on fortes without LED accents from factory?

Yes. The headlights come with their own bulbs and I haven’t had any issues with them so far overall. I would highly suggest aligning your headlights after installing. You can look up youtube videos on how to aim/align your headlights afterward, it’s fairly simple to do.
