I love this steamer. This is my first time buying a steamer for my type 3A, 3B, and 3C curly hair. The Steamer does make a big difference in my hair care. I used it on my six year old granddaughter and she loved it. Only down side is one side gets hotter than the other, but it still works great! I used my steamer on 12/16/2023 and it got really hot. The hottest it has ever gotten. Went back to use it on 12/17/2023 on my granddaughter's hair and the steamer stopped working. OMG! I only had this steamer for five months now it's just a big piece of plastic junk that does not work. A total waste of my money. Buyer Beware!

Horrible worst steamer ever! Has no On & off, must pull the plug. Has no Hi & Low steam setting, just boiling HOT. Too hot to put hood down on head unless you leave it very high up away from your head. It shuts itself off while using, more than once so you have to turn it back on constantly. It drips hot water from the steam on your face from too much condensation because the water is too hot. This is a nightmare of a steamer. I was using it in a salon but will now have to throw it out because it continues to cause problems. I would seriously not even think about buying this & feel sorry for whoever does. Also it was my mistake thinking all steamers would have a Hi & Low so I did not check for that. My previous steamer died after a few years & it was a great steamer but it was not available anymore so I chose this. I’m writing this review so others won’t have to go through this. It does not even deserve 1 star

So far the steamer has worked great for myself and my children. I do use distilled water (not sure if that makes a difference). However, the steam production is no problem at all! As an adult, I don’t cover my hair to absorb all the steam. It’s great for the in between salon visits. For my children I apply a conditioning cap for protection. I’ve had it for about 3 months now

This is is my 3rd steamer. The first steamer I had was (at the time) more expensive than this version. I opted for this version because the heating element is outside of the unit so I felt it would be easier to “see” what’s going on the with it. The one with the heating element inside would accumulate calcium and there was not way to remove it. Adding distilled vinegar to the water didn’t seam to help much. The hood on this one feels like a lower grade of plastic than my previous ones. This doesn’t impact on the function steamer. There is no high or low setting and it gets very hot. There are vent holes on the hood, but I don’t think it makes that much a difference. It was easy to put together. There is a water level sensor on it so it will stop operating and flash “Lo” on the panel until you fill it to the minimum line. The sensor is several inches below the heating element which means that it will pause the steam while there is still quite a bit of water in the reservoir. The instructions tell you not leave water in it If there will be long periods between uses, so I wondered how I was supposed to empty it. I was surprised to find that the reservoir screws off so dumping unused water is very easy. Since it gets really hot, most times I allow my hair to cool before rinsing the conditioner out. Initially I could not fully adjust the hood.. it would either be completely up or completely down (which doesn’t work when watching TV while steaming.) I tightened the washer on hood and that fixed the problem. Overall, this steamer gets the job done, which is aiding in moisturizing my hair! My hair, especially the back and nape, gets really dry Nothing helps me build moisture in my hair like deep conditioning with a steamer. The heated cap didn’t work as well for me and stopped working shortly after I purchased. In my experience steamers don’t usually last as long as they should for the price, but it’s worth it. I like being able to adjust the steamer according to the height of my chair as opposed to trying to locate a table top with the right height for my chair. Hope this helps someone!

Light, easy to move. Easy to store. Good product. Easy to use.

It's okay so far.

I purchased this steamer earlier this year. The first one I received was broken at the bottom and the wheels wouldn’t stay on. This I noticed as soon as I opened the box. The company replaced the entire steamer right away. I used it about 4-5 times total. Now it doesn’t work. As soon as it starts to produce steam it turns off and will not restart. Such a waste of a good amount of money to not even last half of the year. I am very disappointed. I’m not sure if it is just my device but I would not buy this steamer if you are looking for something that will lasted long term.
