Vht High Temperature Engine Enamel Gm Satin Black 11 Oz. Aer

Paint is good quality, but the sheen is all wrong. This is more of a semi-gloss than a satin.

I've used VHT products for many year on headers and exhaust manifolds, but this was the first time using it on a radiator. I had purchased an aluminum radiator for my 1972 Chevy C10, but never liked seeing the silver through the grill. After some research, I found VHT GM Satin Black was highly recommended. I was not disappointed. The paint matches my engine compartment very well. As with anything you paint, proper preparation is key. A primer undercoat is not recommended on radiators, as it will hold in extra heat. The only negative about the product, is that it needs a fan style spray nozzle for more even coverage.

I'm using this high temp engine paint on my Harley motor and Transmission along with the VHT high temp primer. I'm happy the way the engine paint covers and I like the satin black finish it gives the paint a little sheen rather than the flat black.

Works very well on exhaust parts.

Do not buy this product even though the can says that it is a satin finish. It is not. It is a super high gloss. If you're working on a custom automobile like I am and attempting to do a high temp paint job, you will be very unhappy when you have to strip it all off and purchase a different product. On top of that since it's a liquid they would not refund it. I had to fight with Amazon for 30 minutes and I had bought two cans and then even Amazon only refunded one. I had to fight another 20 minutes to get the second can refunded
