Q: Can these cut screws?

They only cut 8-32 and 6-32 screws in the specified locations on the strippers. Don't try cutting them with the blade as they will destroy your strippers.

As far as home electrical maintenance such as changing outlets or switches you are typically looking at between 14 to 10 AWG solid. For toys and electronics you are typically going to want something way smaller like 22 AWG stranded or smaller. (AWG is the gauge system we use in America and the higher the gauge number the smaller the size, stranded and solid are the types of wire and the strippers should say what sizes they are rated for in both types)
