We purchased two sets of these walkie-talkies for a recent camping trip with multiple families. we have had previous sets of walkie-talkies in the past with less than stellar performance. I did significant research for these based on my past experiences. This set of walkie-talkies performed well and exceeded my expectations at this price point. Channel selection and syncing the Walkie-talkies was very easy in this model. There was good voice clarity well past 1/2 mile with multiple small buildings in the way. the kids age 5 through 12, were able to use these immediately without any issues. It is very intuitive for them. an added bonus was the dual charging cord to charge 2 at a time. The battery life was decent, the kids were able to use them all day before needing to be recharged. You do need to hold the voice button down for 1 to 2 seconds before you start the talk otherwise the beginning of your sentence gets chopped off. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

I haven't used these further than 1/4 mile but the other party did hear clearly. Easy set up and easy to use. I like the different colors and how there's 4. Would buy again. The battery lasts long (we use them once a week when needed (power left on) and theyre still charged up after being in my backpack for 4 months) and charge fast. Make sure all people in your party set it to the same channel; you may get crosstalk if someone else is on that channel too, so choose another channel. Lightweight, convenient; I stuffed all 4 in an old makeup pouch for ease.

Walkie talkies worked great. Used for our 5 kids and they had no issue using them once we set the channel and locked. Battery life is good and best part is that it’s rechargeable.

These have been a big hit with my kids and the neighbor kids. Love that they're rechargeable. We tested them and they went about half a mile.

We've been testing these Walkie Talkies for about a week now. These came pre-charged. Small thing, but my potentially impatient children appreciated it. :) Walkie Talkies are very lightweight...which doesn't excite me simply because it makes them seem cheap...not necessarily true...just my perception, but my kids like that they are lightweight. Not a lot of buttons, so easy for children to use. Has a ringing/calling button ('MON') which we like. We tested the range. We live in the country with a mix of trees and open fields. We were able to go 1/2 mile with a forest in between. We each were in a house with closed windows and could hear each other almost perfectly. Then we went a mile apart with forest in between. In the open air we could hear each other pretty well, but once we went inside separate houses, we couldn't hear very well at all...spotty and static. If one of us was outside and one of us inside a house, we could hear OK. In my opinion, the biggest CONS are: Lightweight, clip is stationary and doesn't have a rocking clip action. PROS: We like the different colors for extra personalization, range seems pretty good, simple design for kids, ringing button, rechargeable...big plus. :) We were not able to see just how long the battery lasts. But we used them 30-60 mins every day for about 5 days and they still say they have lots of battery life left.

Great walkie, talkies for the neighborhood. They don't reach a mile as advertised in the city, but I have used them. Dirt biking and they get a significant distance. Outside 1.5 miles out in the wilderness and point 5 miles in the city.

Decent Product when they worked but 2 of the 4 no longer charge (and therefore are nearly worthless) after 1 year - used 1 day a week for a 14 months now - I got some use out of them and 2 still work, but not that impressive on longevity.

I cannot remember how many walkie talkies I've tried over the years. They always fall short. I don't ask much, I just want to be able to understand what the other person is saying, and to have enough range to make it easier to pull out the walkie talkie rather than yelling. Is that too much to ask? Now, we can finally wander to the far corners of our property and keep in touch. Had some interference due to someone else's equipment, and it was easy to switch channels and keep a clear signal. Our kid carries one when he's playing or tending the chickens, and no harm has come to it. These seem ready to take a few hard knocks and keep working, which makes us all happy.
