Golf Pencils

These Ticonderoga golf pencils have been an absolute game-changer for my kindergartner who has motor planning issues. He struggles to hold a standard-length pencil correctly and tends to move his hand higher and higher as he writes, which negatively affects his grip and control. The shorter length of these pencils naturally forces his hand lower, helping him maintain a more appropriate grip position. While this isn’t a cure-all, it has made a noticeable difference and provides consistent support during writing tasks. Because of their effectiveness, these pencils are actually included in his IEP goals by occupational therapy, which speaks volumes about their usefulness as an adaptive tool. They’re simple, affordable, and practical—yet incredibly effective. If your child has difficulty with pencil grip, hand positioning, or motor planning, I highly recommend trying these. Sometimes the simplest tools make the biggest difference.

I use these for my nine year old who still has issues with the tripod hold. Because they are small, they force her to hold her pencil correctly, most of the time. I think these would also be beneficial for younger children just getting out of the palmer grasp and learning to proper hold a pencil. They also are a high quality to write with, super sharp, and Ticonderoga has the best erasers. I will/would purchase again, but with 72 won't have to for awhile. Also, unrelated, but I've read that having children struggling/being stubborn holding the pencil correctly sometimes improve when writing standing against the wall. Just wanted to share for all the other parents whose kiddos are holding their pencils like cave people and are less than willing to change. IT'S IMPORTANT TO GET THIS CORRECTED BY AGE 6/7- I've done a ton of research on this and we're REALLY struggling with an older child because we didn't force it earlier. Don't delay and save your child and yourself both the heartache.

We seem to always be looking for a pencil. These are a nice size. They are small but for people like us who seem to lose pencils all the time these are perfect. Plenty of pencils in the box. As a plus the are pretty much the Dixon Ticonderogas I have used since grade school. Just smaller

Ticonderoga Golf Wood-Cased Pencils, Pre-Sharpened, 2 HB, With Erasers, Yellow, 72 Count are a blessing for kindergarten teachers. I purchased these as a gift for my darling daughter, who is a kindergarten teacher. These pencils are easy to hold on to for small fingers. They also make good pencils for arthritic hands, because sometimes holding small skinny pencils can be difficult to manage. I also purchase the larger Ticonderoga wooden pencils for the same reason. My arthritic hands can hold them better. These golf pencils come with an eraser on top which is a nice feature. Other golf pencils are as good of quality. Teacher approved! These are the pencils our daughter’s kindergarten teacher swears by! They are the perfect size and great durability/quality for little hands! We ordered her teacher a box for a gift- as she orders them out of her own money for her students! ❤️

I teach math in high school and use these as my loaner pencils. The eraser to pencil ratio works well for the excessive erasing my students do. The other nice thing is that the students don't really like using small pencils, so it's not hard to convince them to leave them in my room. Good quality lead and erasers, as you'd expect from a Ticonderoga pencil. Good value for the price.

It's just the normal thickness of the standard pencils just shorter

Great price. Would like to have been able to purchase a smaller number of pencils. Got them for My son in law. He plays a lot of Board games and uses them for the score cards. Also my grandson is using them for practicing his printing . He is in kindergarten so a great size.
