The product title claims “9 Rib Reinforced Canopy,” but the umbrella actually has only 8 ribs, which is misleading. The material quality is very poor—it feels as thin as paper and seems like it could tear easily with minor use. The product looks much better in the photos than it does in real life. You can easily find the same quality umbrella for AED 10, so this one is definitely overpriced. I would not recommend this umbrella.

First of all its not windproof...description is wrong and misleading. I only paid extra since they advertised it windproof otherwise same quality is available in local stores for 15-20 AED. Secondly after one month of use, it malfunctioned and the rod would stay open with umbrella neither getting closed nor does it open. I contacted the seller and instead of compensating me somehow they replied that it has exceed 1 month of purchase so no claims could be made now. I carefully used it but still it is useless for me now. Complete waste of money, don't buy it!!!

Buying a Rain-Mate Compact Travel Umbrella for a kid’s backpack felt like a bit of a gamble. Why I am Obsessed: The Size: It fits right in the side pocket of a school backpack. It is smoother than my attempts to calculate exactly how many beads we need for a 10-year-old's bracelet. The Windproof Magic: It actually holds its shape. No more watching a kid struggle with a broken umbrella that looks like a sad metallic spider after a storm. The Weight: It is lightweight enough that they do not even notice it is there. It is built like a tank but feels like a feather. The Durability: It has been through the morning rush and the afternoon chaos and it still looks brand new. It is the kind of gear that makes me feel like a prepared parent who finally beat the weather. The Verdict: I am currently using these for the whole family and they have officially become a school essential. They handle the rain without making the kids look like they are fighting a losing battle with a parachute. If you are on the fence about getting a Mini Folding Umbrella, just do it. Your dry carpets will thank you and you will finally stop worrying about them getting drenched at the bus stop.

I haven’t been able to use this yet as it stopped raining the day it was delivered. It does look lovely though so I’m keen to try it.
