Signalplus 1090MHz ADS-B Antenna-Omni Fiberglass Antenna 12dbi 45inch with 32.8ft SMA Cable for Aviation

This antenna works as advertised. It increased the range of my reception of airplanes from a hundred and twenty nautical miles To 216 nautical miles. Some of the reviews say the antenna does not work but the problem could be local interference like I had when I first put the antenna up. I first set the antenna up in my Home Office and noticed a great increase in the reception over the one I already had on the roof. Once I installed the antenna on my roof I noticed a great decrease in the range Of reception, it turns out that I have some sort of Local interference. I purchased one of these filters in the range Increased greatly. The 1090 Saw filter by adsb. This antenna is a great increase. Over what I was using and it's worth the purchase.

Upgraded from the basic adsb exchange kit to this larger roof mounted option. Huge increase in range and consistency of tracking flights. As always with this stuff it's all about location, luckily I had an unused rooftop satellite did I could dismantle and use the mount for. In the future I may add a pole to the setup for added height which should give me additional distance when tracking.

Picking up over 250 miles on ADS-B 1090mhz, definitely recommend

Works perfectly, extended my ranges 60 miles or so from what I had before.

Though this is better than the little wire antenna I made myself it seems the max range for this is 40 miles. I've had it at 10' and lately it's been mounted at 28' with range capping out at 40 mi at both levels. I've even upgraded the coax cable which isn't any longer than the original. Using Flightradar25 with Raspberry Pi.. maybe that's the issue? Not sure, but I'm definitely perplexed. Clear view of the sky/horizon as well. It's frustrating after seeing reports of well over a 100mi in the reviews. * I've ordered a SAW filter from ADS-B Exchange which should arrive in early January '26. Will update here with the results and from what I've read it should make a huge difference ** After two days with the filter attached my range has increased to a max of 65 miles. Definitely an improvement. Though I thought it would be more I'd say overall the antenna does a decent job. Definitely more important things to worry about in life than an ADS-B antenna so going to let it be and check the results again in a few months. *** Okay I apologize, this really is my last update. After adding the SAW filter AND changing the antenna gain to 43.4 the max distance has now reached 112 miles and hits per second have increased dramatically as well. (Using FligthRadar24 bookworm on Raspberry 4) Have increased my rating to 4 stars.

My reception range is limited by geography and my antenna height more than anything, but the max range for me with this antenna and an LNA is around 350 miles. Its survived outdoors for over 2 years now with no signs of degrading (but we don't get freezing weather). My only complaint is that its 1090mhz only. After a couple years with 1090mhz reception I've decided to add a 978MHz receiver to my setup for UAT reception and was hoping I could add a splitter and use the same antenna, but its not tuned for 978 reception unfortunately.

The indoor 2-coil antenna FlightAware sells on their store for $20 collects twice as many flights and positions as this antenna does under the same conditions. If you need as cheap as possible or in bulk this could be fine.

Very good ads-b antenna. Good quality, connectors were well installed and the cable length is good.
