The BEST mineral sunscreen!
Pros: - It WORKS. I have never gotten sunburned when using this sunscreen. I am fair and blond, and always burn at least twice before I tan. Or, I used to... I've tested it in Panama, Costa Rica, and Florida, and I love the water. It passed the test. - Goes on nicely, isn't too thick, and rubs in well. There may be a faint white trace visible, especially once you go into the water, but if so it is minimal. - It feels like you're wearing nothing. Non-sticky, non-greasy, lightweight. I feel like I should reapply it because it's so lightweight. - Very mild, non-offensive scent. - It's doesn't harm the sea life (or humans). - Non cancer-causing ingredients. - Its cool, color-changing bottle distracts kids so you can get them to hold still while you apply it. Cons: - It may leave a slight white cast to skin, more so if you don't rub it in properly, but much less than any other mineral sunscreen that I have tried, other than my tinted Elt* MD mineral sunscreen, but it costs a LOT less.

great product and reef safe
bought this sunscreen because where we were traveling you could be fined if you weren't using reef safe sunscreen. this sunscreen went on easy and soaked in well. i appreciate that its mineral based and not filled with a ton of chemicals like most brands are. I also liked that the bottle turned color when you had UV exposure. We like the product and use it all the time even if it doesn't need to be reef safe.

This is the sunscreen I've been looking for my entire life
I've tried almost every sunscreen under the sun. I've used lotions, sprays, sticks, always above spf50. I apply every 2-3 hours and always after swimming. I make sure the product isn't expired and you know what I STILL GET BURNED. BUT THIS ONE- I wore it on a carribean vacation so I was out in the sun constantly and NO SUN BURN AT ALL. I've officially become a blue lizard fan and will buy nothing else. The product is thicker than traditional sunscreen and you may need more than you traditionally use but it is so worth it. The smell is very slight if at all. It did not stick to my clothes at all. I went swimming with it on and it honestly was still on even after being in the ocean. I still reapplied to be safe but I could feel the first application still on my skin. I used the lotion for all over application and the spray can to help with getting my back and reapply on my legs. I used the little deodorant stick to apply to face and ears. All were very easy to use. And that's the only downside I have. You do have to scrub a little bit to get it off at the end of the day. For me not a downside at all because I know it was worth it for the sun protection and I would have had to scrub to get all the sand off anyway.

My family and I use only Blue Lizard sunscreen. We think it's coverage and sun protection works best.

Super Effective and Reef Safe!
I loved this product! A little goes a long way with this sunscreen and you have to rub it in a lot to not look like Casper the ghost. I went on a 3-week trip to Ecuador and used only half of this bottle even though the sun was always blaring hot. The sun on the equator is no joke. I have really sensitive skin and suffer from eczema often and I had no bad reactions. I also love that it is reef safe since I used it when I was snorkeling in the deep ocean. Coming back from the trip, I had no burns while the rest of the group had pretty bad burns. I let them use my sunscreen and they never got burned afterward. I also love that the bottle turns pink when it's exposed to worsening UV rays. It reminded me to consistently put on sunscreen. All in all, I think this product is definitely worth the money.

Good sun protection but leaves white streaks after sweating
I really wanted to like this sunscreen after seeing it make a lot of lists for best sunscreen for runners. But for whatever reason, about 15-20 minutes into my runs and I've started really sweating, I see white streaks in my elbow crease. I've started developing weird tan lines in my elbow crease if I don't consciously try to re-rub and re-spread the sunscreen in my elbows periodically during my runs. If I only use the sunscreen for lower impact activities, I don't get the white streaks. It's as if from the sweat it pools the minerals from the sunscreen into my elbow crease. But yet I don't have that problem with the sweat mix with my sunscreen on other parts of my body. I've also switched to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which ironically isn't meant for sports, but I don't have the elbow crease white streaks issue with that sunscreen. I will say, this Blue Lizard sunscreen does rub and spread easily and doesn't leave a white cast after rubbing it into my skin. Although it does feel mildly greasy after I'm done applying it everywhere. I've switch to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which doesn't feel greasy but it does leave a slight white cast on my tan skin, but I'll rather have that than deal with frequently needing to re-rub/re-spread the sunscreen in my elbow creases when white streaks form.

Waterproof
This product is great for kids in the pool or ocean. It is very waterproof and you can even see the water beading on top of the sunscreen. It doesn't go on super clear, which can be an advantage for determining coverage. One other unique feature is the bottle itself changes color to indicate it is currently exposed to UV light although that is basically anytime you walk outside in daytime.
