My kitchen tv has only one HDMI port. I want to split the signal to a Tivo Roamio and a Roku. Will this do it?

If you want both devices to be able to use the HDMI port on the TV, you need an HDMI switch not a HDMI splitter. A splitter provides the same signal to two different receivers. A switch will take two different HDMI sources or transmitters and make either available from one or the other to a receiver (the TV in your case). Hence, this splitter will not work for you.

Will this work while one of the displays is off? (Some other HDMI splitters only work if both displays are on and have the HDMI input selected)

I split the output of my cable box to the tv and an HDMI transmitter (to a tv outside on the patio). I only power on the HDMI transmitter when I need it, so from my experience you don’t have to have both on. Interesting question. Maybe there is some port priority such that one has to be on? We f so I am just lucky 🍀.

The description says that it supports 4K but the comparison chart says that it does not. Which is it?

This splitter only supports up to 1080p resolution. To my knowledge, this does not support 4K resolution

I want to use my splitter to connect, my ps3, uverse reciever, and blu ray player. to my sony surround sound reciever, for surround sound?

You cannot use this for that purpose; this is an "HDMI splitter", which was built to take one HDMI source and output that to a maximum of 4 HDTV's (like in a sports bar).Because what you want is surround sound from all three devices (and without knowing the type of receiver you have) your options are: - If your Receiver has only one or two HDMI inputs - you will need to add a "HDMI Switch", to accommodate all three devices.- If your Receiver has no HDMI inputs - it is better to get a new Receiver with atleast 3 HDMI inputs.- If your Receiver has three or more HDMI inputs - you are fine, just connect your devices to the Receiver.I hope this helps....

Does what it says with no issues and easy setup

There's not much to say about this product, it certainly does the job described and I have not had any issues with it so far. It requires a power source, for which I have it connected to my TV as that's the only time I need to use it and isn't much of an inconvenience. This splitter is very easy to use. You plug the thing you want to display into the single slot and and then connect the other two HDMI leads into the other slots (in my case for example, one going into my TV and one going into my PC/capture card). Only other thing you need to do is the previously mentioned power cable which plugs in via a standard USB cable.

Works for game capture! bypasses ps3 hdcp

Completely satisfied with this spliter using it with the ps3 to capture gameplay to bypass the HDCP. worth the money on this. highly recommend buying this one.

Good bit of kit

Daughter wanted this to view her pc details on her monitor and tv, plugged in easily enough and she set up details in her system. She can now view on her PC monitor or 32 inch tv. Easier for me to view on the tv. Daughters really pleased as it leaves room on her desktop tower for something else to plug in. Came quickly with no problems. Solved an issue easily.

Works perfectly with a capture card to record PS3 or having live feed in windows of your PS3, the power supply cable is USB, I personally plugged it in the PS3 USB2.0 port and it seems to be sufficient for power I used nanotape to attach it directly to my capture card

Works great. Plug and play. Don't forget that 3rd HDMI cable between your device and the splitter. 🤦 Also, it needs power. It comes with a USB cable for this purpose. Played Assassin's Creed: Mirage on my XBOX One displayed on both my Sony TV and Dell Monitor with zero problems. No lag and crystal clear image on both outputs. Great product. Works as intended. Great price.
