This thing is cool! It really works--though you may have to mess around with the nobs a bit, and some songs sound clearer than others. 8-bit covers of songs come out very well! The light up diodes are very cool, however they get hot to touch very quickly so do be careful. Overall definitely worth it, I've messed around with it for hours and can't wait to show it to my neice!

A year later and my kids are still playing with it

I have only used this product 4 times and it short circuited itself and started shooting electrical arcs out of the flat surface on the top of the Tesla coil. At this time I did not unplug it, or turn it off, because I thought that it would stop on its own, but after a couple seconds the plastic top caught fire.

Very impressive Tesla coil demonstration. Adjustable spark rate and intensity. And can play music via Bluetooth from you phone (but I recommend downloading square wave music for best (loudest) results. Start at low intensity and rate to get used to it (you CAN touch the sparks!) Then crank it up for more fun. At full intensity, it's loud, scared my wife!

This thing worked pretty well the first two times we switched it on! Even the Bluetooth mode, though it certainly was loud. However, on the third try, the adapter gave out and wouldn't turn back on (blue light on it wouldn't turn on). Can't even replace it because its model doesn't exist anywhere else, and it runs at like 48V and 2A. I assume the coil itself still works just fine, but it's unusable now because of the broken power cord. I'd recommend finding a different brand.

When I first saw this, I thought it could be used with any music. You can only use it with music on their website. It came with diodes that you can place on it to add colored lights, though the directions DO NOT tell you where to place them and I cant find any place that looks like they belong there. A side from that its gives off a fine scent of ozone from the bolts of lightning. Not worth the money but at best it is a interesting little gimmick for your desk for those that want their own bolt of purple lightning. I gave it 3 stars because of its design. Functionality for music is at best a 2 star.

Works fine, it does the thing, but there is one thing no one talks about with Tesla coils. They are very loud; you should wear hearing protection when using these. I used my decibel meter, and it was over 110 dB, so that can easily cause hearing damage.
