Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides Powder, Unflavored

I bought these because I was having so much hip pain that I couldn’t sleep on my sides and was actually sleeping sitting up for about a month. I wanted to add collagen to my routine and have always had good experiences and a lot of trust for with Ancient Nutrition products. I originally tried a collagen powder from another brand but the one I purchased had a strong chicken-broth flavor that I just couldn’t get used to, I had also sampled AN powder collagen before too and knew it also tasted like broth so I decided to switch to capsules instead. One thing I wish these had is a coating, since I’m terrible at swallowing pills. The good news is they break in half very easily, which is how I’ve been taking them. Most importantly, within about a week of starting these capsules, I was able to sleep on my hips again pain free! I can’t say for certain it was solely because of the collagen, but the timing was remarkable and I’ve continued taking them ever since. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and plan to keep it in my daily routine. 😊 I’m on my 4th bottle.

Been using this for about a month now. I recently lost a ton of weight and am now working out a lot more. I was getting pain in my elbows and knees from weight training and it was causing me to not be able to meet my goals. Started adding this to my protein shakes and WOW what a difference! It makes my shakes a little creamier (which is nice for vegan protein) and tastes like absolutely nothing. The best part is that I have noticed huge differences in my joint and skin health. Small injuries on my skin heal faster. My elbows no longer hurt from lifting and I am seeing some flattening of my tummy where I lost the most weight—the extra collagen in my system is allowing me to tone up and slim the saggy areas. I'm not losing weight per se, but my tummy certainly looks better than it did. Less 'stretched out' compared to how it was before. Heck, I was looking in to cosmetic surgery, but if this continues to improve, I likely won't even have to care enough to go forward with that. I agree that seeing a half-empty jar is not the most wonderful thing, but really... the stuff is sold by weight. Every powder does this to some extent. Not an actual issue.

this is great. it creates a little form in smoothies and it is tasteless. I feel it makes my skin glow and keeps my bones healthy so far.

We bought our first tub of Collagen Peptides by Ancient Nutrition at Sprouts nearby. We are ordering more on Amazon because Amazon has it for about $5.00 less than Sprouts. This made a significant difference quickly in general joint aches. In my prior research, I've found the characteristics of this brand to be paramount for effectiveness and, at this point, we are convinced that this is one of the best collagen brands available for a reasonable price. We put it in our hot coffee in the morning - just one scoop - and find no issues at all with it dissolving just by stirring it with a spoon. Just using one scoop a day has made a noticeable difference for both of us. We like the taste of our black coffee so we got the unflavored and we are amazed & pleased that this brand really has no flavor. Based on the first tub we bought, we are gave it 4 stars - - as we proceeded cautiously in hopes the product from Amazon is the same good quality as the product from Sprouts. After several months, we give it 5 stars. It made a significant difference in the flexibility and comfort of our joints.

This is a product that I always keep in stock. I've been using collagen in my morning coffee for years. One feature I do love, is that it doesn't clump in my coffee. Perhaps that is because it is hot. A quick stir with my creamer and my coffee is ready. It is a bit gritty on my last sip, but I don't mind that at all. I am 56 years old and have had hip pain for years. The collagen definitely works to lessen the pain and make my daily tasks a bit easier. On occasion, I have skipped using it for a few days, and the pain returns. Now I know how important it is to take daily. If you deal with any type of joint pain, please try this product. I think you will be pleased with how well it works.

UPDATE 2022. I changed my five star review to a three because of this last purchase. I purchased this three different times. The first two were fabulous as you can see by review below and most definitely helped my joints and arthritis. The third one was rancid and smelled. It wasn't so bad at first and when mixed into a particular spicy drink, it wasn't too noticeable - for awhile; however, it evidently aged as the days went by and it came to the point I couldn't drink it (even the smell got me). The expiration date is two years out, so that's not the problem. Perhaps just a bad batch. It did not help my joints and arthritis when I did drink it as the prior purchases. The lot number on this one is 2527721231Z Again - perhaps a really bad batch, but there should be some quality control going on. I won't be purchasing again, and that is disappointing as it truly did help. *** Although I usually avoid TV advertised things, I decided to give the unflavored Collagen Peptides by Ancient Nutrition a try. It was cheaper and healthier than having prescription meds (to which the drs were pushing on me). I knew it wouldn't hurt me. It says that you can feel results in as little as one day. Well - I didn't have any results that I could see or feel in one day, however, I persevered. At the end of seven to ten days, I realized that my pinky finger no longer hurt at all and it was moving well (it had started having some arthritis in it). I looked at my arthritic thumb because I realized the pain was almost gone. Not only had the pain eased from about an 8 to a 2, the swelling had decreased by over half on the thumb and completely on the pinky finger. AND - my hair and nails started growing and thickened. Thrilled!! I use the usual 2 scoops in my hot drink in the morning. What do I like about this? It has multiple types of peptides. It IS unflavored - I mean I do not taste anything when it is dissolved completely. It does not have much of an odor. It truly has helped my arthritic thumb and finger. It nourished my hair and nails so that they started growing; my hair thickened and does not fall out as much. It has even helped my knees a little. I don't like that there's a LOT of settling in the container - but that's in everything these days and it's sold by weight. The price is a little high compared to others; however, after trying one of the cheaper brands (which smelled, tasted bad, and my pain/swelling started up again), I went back to this one. I think it's worth it.

This stuff is incredible!!! It not only helped my skin but my hair as well. I’ve gotten this at least 4 different times I love it so much!! Blends really well into whatever beverage you want and no weird taste!
