Is the frame sturdy enough that an adult could sit on the bed to read bedtime stories? Or would an adult sitting on it break it?

It seems fairly sturdy but I believe the weight capacity is only about 50 pounds. When I read to my granddaughter, I usually sit on the floor right next to the bed.
