Impressive.
Great ceiling light. Very bright and easy to control. Installation was easy, I’m not an electrician but had no issues installing this light. The app is easy to navigate and quick to change colours/ brightness.

Larger and brighter than expected!
Took about 20 mins to install including drilling holes - you’ll need screws and raw plugs. I had read some reviews saying these weren’t very bright - so I was pleased to find they are VERY bright, and also other than I had expected. We have Hue Bridge and these took no time at all to connect. Really pleased with them.

Obsessed with our new light
Absolutely love it, we have it in the bedroom and connected it to the Hue app and spotify so we can listen to music in and it syncs with the tunes. It creates very nice atmosphere any time of the day, although it's not the biggest size, it is still very bright for a big room.

Good but not perfect
I was talked into buying these for my coach house apartment by a group of tech savvy friends. The look much better installed than they do on the photos and nstallation itself was straightforward.Be aware that screws and fitments aren't included so have some wall/ceiling plugs and screws to hand ready. The colour quality is great and once you get the hangnof the apps it's reasonably intuitive to use with some great features such as the ability for your lights to recognise when you're home, timed activation/deactivation and a whole array of of colours and brightness settings. My biggest gripe with these are that mine reasonably regularly disconnect from the Hue Bridge/Hub unit requiring a fiddly reconnection. My apartment is small with stuff walls so distance really shoulsnt be an issue. Its happened with a couple of the different lights rather than one unit so satisfied it isn't a one off issue and is a wider problem. It's not the end of the world as you can reconnect to the bridge unit easily enough but it is irritating and it's not a glitch id expect for the cost of these things. Beyond the rather mean exclusions of screws and plugs in the box that's my only gripe though.Could you live with loitnthem? Definitely but they're a nice touch to have in your home if youre feeling extravagant. I have a son that stays with me a few nights per week that suffers with sleep issues and a fear of the dark and having the ability to put on a very dinky lit soothing colour overnight has been brilliant.Despite the minor pitfalls, would recommend.

Unreliable, 3 failures in 4 units but warranty works just fine
I was very happy with this light, although it's expensive it used to work well.Suddenly the light won't connect to the phone app or its remote control. On power-on it either flashes once, or flashes continuously and won't stop.I have 3 other identical hue lights that work perfectly and I have swapped remotes, replaced remote batteries and confirmed that there's nothing else wrong. Its still under warranty but you have to trigger this via the manufacturer, and the phone number given for them by Amazon, and on their own website, is no longer in use.I've raised a ticket on the Philips website so we'll see what happens next. It's really put me off buying something expensive on Amazon - once you're out of the returns window it looks like you're on your own.....UPDATE 1 year onthis light got swapped out eventually, the response from Philips manufacturer Signify was immediate/ same day, then it took 2 months for the unit to actually get replaced. It took forever for them to approve & schedule the return.Since then, another one (I have 4) has failed in exactly the same way, and been replaced just as slowly.UPDATENow today, maybe 6 months later, a third has failed. It's >1 year and <2 years old, so I don't know if it's in warranty or not (turns out it was still covered). If it's not in warranty, I won't be replacing it with a Philips product. If anyone from Philips/ Signify bothers to read this, a hard-to-install (initially), expensive product needs to last longer than 1-2 years. That's fine for a light bulb, this is a whole light fitting. These need a 10-year life, minimum.I've currently got £800 invested in Hue lights, and if I have to replace them every 2 years I'll swap them when they fail for something cheaper. This is absolutely unacceptable reliability at this price, especially given how slow the warranty returns are.I'll update this when I get the current light failure resolved....UPDATE - (and now back to 3 stars..)The latest failure got swapped out today (9Oct) having raised a web ticket on 28Sep, so that's far better than previously. At first the wrong unit was sent as a replacement, so if that hadn't happened it would have been under a week.So I'm happy with the warranty - 2 years - and the responsiveness to problems, the lights are great, I don't use the colours much at all, but being able to set up stored themes and step through brightness settings is great, and they're easy to use with the remote control. Now that they're working fine all is well, but at £200 a pop, plus a Hue bridge and 2 remotes, it's a lot of money for something so unreliable, hence only 3 stars.Bluetooth and LED lights are mature technologies now, there's no reason they shouldn't last a decade.(One good thing is that once you've fitted the baseplate, it's really easy to swap out for a replacement unit - turn the fitting, undo 2 screws and reverse with the new one.) I've got really good at it.....Update 28Nov24the 4th and final light has stared to fail, when you hit the 'on' button on the remote it doesn't respond until you power off completely and power back on again. I've gone through the usual disconnect/ reconnect in the app and it's still the same, so have raised a ticket with Signify (manufacturer/ support people) - let's see if they can be as responsive as last time.As the replaced lights have - so far - been fine, I'm hoping that there was an issue with manufacture/ sourcing of the bluetooth component at the time I bought these, and it's now been resolved. Time will tell..... update to follow

Expensive, but easy to install
Improved on previous generations of ceiling lights, has a solid wire cable to hang the light from the mounting fixture while you wire it in, so you don't need 4 hands to install. Overall light produced could be better for the cost and doesn't angle out as much as I would have hoped.

Good looking lamp
Amazing looking ceiling lamp. Installation is easy if you follow the steps. Make sure you phone allows Bluetooth discovery so that you are able to use the app.

Perfekte Ausleuchtung & tolles Design – Ein echtes Licht-Upgrade!
Besonders der indirekte Lichteffekt an der Decke macht ordentlich was her. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
