The long flame length is a big plus for me. Yes, with gas fully on, the flame lenght is 7+ inches long. notably longer than even a full size propane torch flame. I use this at work to light off a 6" propane burner. The long flame allows me to reach the gas control across the chamber and the large flame size keeps this from getting blown out but the burner air. Normally two people are needed to light this off so really a plus to be able to light solo. I can see it also being great to light off a grill, either a gas one or brickets, even in pretty windy conditions. It certainly has a potent enough flame to braze or sweat pipes with. I have not tried that though so can't say if would hold up long term to the extended run times when doing that compared to what it was intended for. I don't see any design weaknesses though to cause a problem with that but thinking that was not the design intent for this. It's compact size would be a plus for that though. Note also, you can throttle the flame way back to that of a conventional lighter (as shown in the image above or smaller if desired) so would still be fine to light candles etc with. Even the packaging was nice. Makes a really nice protective container for it. This is a great value as well priced where it is.

Purchase these as a camping tool. Great for starting fires as well lighting stoves. Very reliable and high altitude.!

I'm not even joking. The item is sleek and makes for a wonderful gift. Powered the thing with butane and boy can it produce some serious flame! On full setting, I swear the thing goes out at least 6 inches. Had to taper it down to a bit under medium in order to use for regular purposes. If anyone had doubts about this torch, I no longer count myself as one of them. This thing is powerful, hefty, and appears to be extremely durable. The only downsides I see is that there is no fuel indicator and that the nozzles that come with the torch do not fit on my specific butane tank. Neither of those deter from the fact that this is by far the best handheld torch I've ever used.

Cool torch just had to have it. Butane fill was easy and it provides a strong flame. There is a safety lock and a flame output adjuster - small flame and large flame, not much in between tho. Appears to be quality made and comes in a nice box - great gift idea. Don’t hesitate on this, buy it and show it off to all your dudes and dudettes.

The first one was the best. Easy to ignite and control the flame. The second one was supposed to be identical, it looked identical, but came from different manufacturer. Very loud popping noise each time it was used. I bought two as gifts for others, and those were even louder and both came from different manufacturers.

WOW! What a product. When at its highest capacity the flame reaches sooo far it's like a mini flame thrower. Easy to find the lighter fluid and refill it! Works well and was happy with my purchase.

A super solid tool to have in your kit - makes lighting fires way easier compared to matches or regular lighters. My only complaint is that refilling is a bit messy as liquid gas is splurting out.
