Excellent aluminum cleaner/degreaser
I use this to clean and degrease aluminum automotive, motorcycle, and marine parts instead of it's intended use as a coil cleaner. I've used it on aluminum sterndrives, outboards, flame arrestors, engines, cylinder heads, suspension parts, radiators, condensers, unpainted wheels... more stuff than I can even remember. It foams up quickly and lifts corrosion and contamination from aluminum parts, leaving a nice clean surface. As far as using this on HVAC coils, I would not advise this at all on commercial or residential coils as they are typically way too thin - especially now that the EPA has essentially mandated they last only a handful of years - to dare risk it. It would be almost impossible to ensure removal of all of this product, and what is left behind will continue to eat the coils. Even if you do manage to successfully remove every last vestige of this cleaner from the coils, they will be thinner as a result of this caustic cleaner. For my own home unit I just use a mild soapy solution and water. For automotive AC and engine cooling systems, I don't worry about spraying this on the outside to clean it because the coils are made far thicker than residential and commercial HVAC equipment. I have applied this with both a 2-gallon wand type garden sprayer as well as a 1/2 quart spray bottle, and I don't dilute it. This product is a very alkaline mixture of water and sodium hydroxide (lye, caustic soda). While this makes it far less dangerous than the acidic cleaners that contained hydrofluoric acid, it should still be treated with all due respect. You're essentially messing with drain cleaner here! Be sure to wear chemical resistant gloves when working with this product, as well as proper eye protection! Don't breathe the vapors emitted from this stuff when it's actively reacting with the aluminum!

This product works great.
It says it’s foaming. I mix as directions said. Got no foaming at all. But that’s Ok. It worked so well cleaning my condenser coils. Really pleased with the product. Wish I would have taken a picture before and after cleaning the coils.

Works well, foams like crazy with coil sprayer
My AC unit is years over due for a cleaning. I used this stuff with a coil sprayer from Coil Guys that hooks onto a hose. Others said it didn’t foam, but oh man did it ever. Maybe you just need the sprayer. Anyways, it did a nice job. A couple cautions. One I got some of the concentrate on my forearm and didn’t wash it off because it is “non-acid”. Half an hour later I felt a searing burning and looked and I my flesh was changing color. I got a minor chemical burn. Turns out this is Caustic Lye, i.e. sodium hydroxide. It's very dangerous stuff. This wasn't clear from the bottle. Wear large glove and especially eye protection. If you get this in your eyes, it could cause permanent damage. Second, there was so much foam in and around the unit that it took about 40 mins to thoroughly dilute it all and wash it away. I didn’t want the dog getting into it. Total mess. So be ready for that.

Best way to clean a-frame evaporator coils!
AMAZING! Bought a fixer upper that didn’t have an air filter installed…needless to say the condenser coils/fins(?) were atrocious. Dust, mold, mildew. Vacuumed first to remove large debris. Mixed this in a Zep brand spray bottle with the stream setting and went to town. Let sit for a few, when it’s foamy I hit it again with another layer and the chunks just start dripping off. I did this for 3 hours with many layers. I used a pump sprayer to squirt with water to rinse every other application. I used a can of spray coil cleaner before, that didn’t work well because you can’t make it spray in a stream to reach the fins up high and it didn’t get me very far especially for the price of the can. Great value, and I wore a respirator, gloves, and glasses which were definitely needed.

really works well
This cleaner worked great on my moldy and dirty window air conditioners, I sprayed it on and hosed it off, The units came out looking like new with out any real scrubbing, It melted the grim off of the the fan blades without having to use a brush. I only say wear rubber gloves if you have when using this, It is murder on your cuticles.

It's decent but not high foaming
So, this is not a high foaming product. If you want that ace foam n clean is the best I have used but it's hard to find. On the other hand this product does clean fairly well, even takes algae off the outside of the unit effortlessly. I do prefer a high foaming product over this though

Hace bastante espuma cuando esta limpiando y remueve muy bien la mugre de los panales de los aires. Ya lo he utilizado 4 veces para lavar los aires acondicionados y aun me queda
