Can vinyl records fit in the cubbies?

It’s only just over 9 inches deep, so it’s about 3 inches shorter than you’d need. That’s 3 inches of unprotected vinyl sticking out.

How can I get replacement legs?

Do not know for sure. However, if I needed replacement legs, I would contact the manufacturer. Hope this helps.

Is the very back exterior panel the finished wood texture or something else? Where I’d like to put this, the back would be viewable from downstairs.

The back panel is the same type of wood. Remember, you are assembling the bookcase. It took me about an hour. All the tools you need are included. It has a very nice finish. I didn't put on the legs, and turned it sideways, as it looks fine on the floor.

Do the legs allow the shelf to be flush with the wall even with base boards?

Pretty much...I have about .25 inch between the wall and the cabinet. Perfect for me...allows my cords to pass through without making the cabinet wobble.
