Platinum Elite Hardside Checked Luggage, Sand, 25-Inch

Love this suitcase! Very roomy, packs well and looks attractive! Solid!

I travel a lot (United 1K, million-mile flier, lifetime Marriott Titanium member, etc.). I bought this luggage for an expanded trip to Europe. One of the airlines dropped it and the suitcase developed a huge crack. I contacted Travelpro user support. They asked for pictures and ended up sending me a brand new replacement. I have used Travelpro for years. Given that they stand behind their product I will continue to use only Travelpro.

Would not buy for 2 reasons. First the build felt cheap. The "hard case" material didn't seem like it would take much to crack - and it was hard to unzip even with nothing in it. Second, I quickly returned it and am still waiting for my refund from Amazon. Received it on 7/6, sent it back on 7/7, shows received on 7/8 and it now says that the credit won't be issued until 7/26 and won't be credited until 8/3????? Contacted Amazon a few days ago and they said they were processing the refund but still haven't seen it.

My husband wanted this piece to accompany his newly purchased larger one from Travel Pro. The luggage is fine, but the navy colors were different. Just make sure to buy all pieces from the same vendor.

This suitcase lasted me 2.5 years of constant travel (~200 flights) until one of the wheels got wonky and the cracks were too big to ignore. The lock was always reliable. Very lightweight, spacious, good zippers. I treated it like crap, bouncing it down staircases and such, and it took the abuse like a champ.

I bought the elite medium sized and paid over $300 for it. Looked beautiful when it was new. I took it on two trips in the US and the suitcase looks terrible. Every metal corner is dented, marked and separating from the hard shell. There are scratches and stained marks on the shell that won’t come off with scrubbing. I am so disappointed in the poor quality and I cannot return it at this point. Stay away from this brand in the hard shell at least. I owned a hard shell that cost less than 100 bucks and it didn’t have the metal corners but held up beautifully and still looks great so I’m just so baffled by this expensive well-rated brand being junk!!

This travel case is the best one I have ever had… and I have had a LOT of them. Pricey but the quality is there. If you travel a lot the price is less an issue.

I’ve had this in the carry-on size for several years and it survived many countries, modes of transportation, cobblestone streets and still looks and rolls like new. This larger checked bag is fantastic is well. They are so durable that you can not see wear and tear on the older bag versus the new. The interior is well appointed and the built in locks are perfect. I can’t stress enough how the bag rolls so smoothly. Before purchasing this classic looking workhorse, I foolishly purchased different luggage that advertised being light weight with great wheels and secure because there’s no zipper. That luggage was so horrible compared to Travelpro that I took a major loss on returning it then bought this tried and true bag. In less than 5 months this bag has been to 3 countries and I’m so happy to have effortless luggage.

Bought this suitcase due to excellent features and reviews. First time I used it while packing for an overseas trip, the teeth of the zipper on the main compartment came apart exposing contents inside. I hastily tried to zip it open and then back up hoping the teeth would catch. Anxious the entire flight there and back the zipper would give out again and contents strewn about and lost during airline handling. Very disappointed with this product.

The extended handle does not function properly. It only extends to 2 stages not four. Please advise. I don't want to return it if I don't have to.
