I purchased this in April 2023 and by September 2024 it was completely dead. It no longer produces steam and it leaks hot water onto the floor. I did the recommended maintenance, but it did not solve the problem. It only has a one year warranty, despite being $100. I called Rowenta and they said I'd have to take it to a repair center and pay for it to be repaired myself. Customer service was also unfriendly and unhelpful, but I guess that's to be expected - they are probably getting a lot of calls and complaints now that the quality has gone down so much. The clips and hanger failed and stopped staying attached and the steam hose started fraying in less than a year, but unfortunately I didn't do a warranty claim at that time. For a product that costs this much I would expect it to last more than a year and half. I had owned a previous model (IS6300) and it lasted about 6-7 years, so I expected similar quality, but it's clear that Rowenta's quality has gone way down and they do not stand by their products. Avoid buying this! I'll never purchase another Rowenta steamer and I'm skeptical of any of their products now. I just purchased Wirecutter's recommendation, a handheld Conair mode (GS59X), which is nice because I don't have to have to have a big steamer sitting out.

Got this to replace one we had for over 10 years; RIP you abused steamer that we never used properly. Anywho, bought this and arrived next day - oh Amazon what can’t you do! This unit is sleek and makes my old one look like an antique. It had some nice added features so you can add a huge amount of water - steam/iron with this little vertical device that attaches right to it! It heats up in 20 seconds (the manual claims 45 seconds, but I’ve never waited that long) and cranks steam! I can steam a t shirt in under a minute and the wrinkles seem to just fade and disappear. It comes with a fancy fabric brush that helps open the fibers as it steams - will work so well for curtains and other non-clothing items. Lastly, it has a fancy new way so you don’t need to use distilled water any longer. It has a de-calc feature that will hopefully keep this one going for even longer than the old one (RIP!!!!) - I loved that old one, but I also didn't know how great the new could be.

It works very well, only thing that I would recommend is to make the back panel to be more stable as it does not keep the cloths from moving away too well.

Works okay… nothing special. The handheld steamers actually work better and take less room to store. This item was highly overpriced for what it is. Save your money and buy a handheld steamer. They are way easier.

Keep in mind that I had previously purchased a used Elite Garment Steamer By PurSteam and that steamer gave me certain expectations of what a steamer should be. When that item broke, I purchased this as a replacement. Pros: ⦁ Quickly heats up water to steam ⦁ Maintains a steady steam ⦁ Clips for pants work very well ⦁ Seems like material is high quality and will not break easily Cons: ⦁ Hose is a bit too short to use comfortably all the time - ideally, it should be a foot longer. ⦁ No wheels on bottom. This makes it difficult to maneuver around. ⦁ Initially I though the screen in the middle would be great. However, I found that it only helped me when I was steaming from the front; and even then, only when steaming the part of the clothing that was directly in front of the screen. The pole got in the way of the screen when I was steaming from the back and when steaming part of the clothing that was not directly in front of the screen, I had to pull the clothing taut by hand. I will try this another couple of times, but I think I will end up returning this and going back to the previous model that I had. EDIT: Returning to seller for a refund, lowered from *** to **. This does not work as well as advertised. The steam hose is not strong enough to hold the hose low down. If I held it too low, the hose kinked and then the steamer started making a racket since the steam had nowhere to go. Thoroughly unimpressed.

I was taken in by the brand name Rowenta, who’s quality and design used to mean something. I’ve used their iron, made in Germany for years. I’m so disappointed in this steamer and I’ve missed the window for return. On high steam, it’s weak, I haven’t even bothered with low setting, it spits a piddles on my clothes! With some fabrics, that is problematic! I thought once it got going, it would stop, but no. Then the design, oh yes, it’s pretty and I like the screen, and it’s great if you just want to steam the front of your clothes. No wheels, ok, I knew that when I bought it, so you have to either walk around to the back, I don’t have the luxury of that extra room. With wheels, I could just whip it around, like the Pure Clean one I had before that last six years and was as good as the professional Jiffy steamer, it’s only $61.00 and worth every cent. With the Rowenta you have to take the jacket off and rehang it all while holding the handle. And to use it on the back of a garment, to walk around to the back, the hose is too short. Then, with the trouser clip hanger, once again, to do the back you have to remove the trousers, flip them around and reclip. It would’ve been so easy to make a clip hanger to unhook, turn it around and rehang. It’s all a pain in the neck. I’m so disappointed that I spent money on a machine that’s only attribute is that it looks cool. I should’ve bought the Pure Clean again!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It’s a great product. It is sturdy. I like the support from the screen , there are multiple ways to hang an item, 3 heat settings, and can stay in a corner or fold up. One thing that bothers me is that it is not easy to move. It’s not heavy, but there are no wheels or handle to pick it up with. I do tilt it and lift it, but a handle would be useful.

This is a 120V US device with a US plug. It requires the purchase of a £90 Step-down 1500W (240V to 120V) voltage converter to use in the UK!!!! No idea why this is being sold on Amazon UK???

I really had a horrible experience. I bought this right before vacation season then travelled for one month and came back excited to use it, once i did it was working ok on the first level of steam but when i turned it into the the 2nd level it short circuited and stopped working entirely and it even ruined the converter i was using for it. I contacted support of Rowenta itself online since it is still in warranty and it was the worst customer service ever simply saying we are not responsible for any of our products outside of the US and without even providing a reason for why this could happen or how to fix it. TOTALLY NOT RECOMMENDED
