Got this to replace one we had for over 10 years; RIP you abused steamer that we never used properly. Anywho, bought this and arrived next day - oh Amazon what can’t you do! This unit is sleek and makes my old one look like an antique. It had some nice added features so you can add a huge amount of water - steam/iron with this little vertical device that attaches right to it! It heats up in 20 seconds (the manual claims 45 seconds, but I’ve never waited that long) and cranks steam! I can steam a t shirt in under a minute and the wrinkles seem to just fade and disappear. It comes with a fancy fabric brush that helps open the fibers as it steams - will work so well for curtains and other non-clothing items. Lastly, it has a fancy new way so you don’t need to use distilled water any longer. It has a de-calc feature that will hopefully keep this one going for even longer than the old one (RIP!!!!) - I loved that old one, but I also didn't know how great the new could be.

I have followed the instructions and used distilled water and was disappointed with the steam output, but hopeful. On third use, the tank started leaking water and now fails to turn on even after draining and drying the tank area per support instructions. I tried to initiate an Amazon return, but the AI chat feature is not working. I am 3 days from the end of the return period. I have reached out to Rowenta and hope for some help. I am so disappointed with this product.

Second one purchased. First lasted a couple of years. This one is great for the money. It just stopped working, tried to decalcify no luck.

About 4 years ago we bought the fancy steamer model with the screen and used it every single day. Heated up so fast, never leaked, super sturdy and worked well on just about everything. This is not the case with this new model. First, the head of the steamer itself is wayyyyyy to big and can’t get into narrow seams and corner of garments. The frame is cheap and flimsy. The screen to press your garments against isn’t sturdy either and kind of useless. The water reservoir is half the size of the older model. The steamer hose is also really big and heavy and not long enough, so you feel restrained while working. I might return it if I can find a nicer option. ***ROWENTA: please go back to the older model and the same materials/construction. It was worth it! This one is not.***

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It’s a great product. It is sturdy. I like the support from the screen , there are multiple ways to hang an item, 3 heat settings, and can stay in a corner or fold up. One thing that bothers me is that it is not easy to move. It’s not heavy, but there are no wheels or handle to pick it up with. I do tilt it and lift it, but a handle would be useful.

Good product, its easy and convenient to use. The only “bad thing” that I’ve encountered with is that throws water over the iron plate, and the clothes get a little wet!

I bought mine in June 2023, and it started leaking a few weeks ago from the bottom of the unit (only two years of owning the product with minimal use). Not happy with the quality as there doesn’t seem to be a warranty covering this issue, and it soaked my carpet in my closet.
