Play podcasts from the phone, handsfree (by law) when calls come in. I find I use my theater voice when i talk to this ("proJECT!") and I try to tilt my mouth towards it rather than talking at the windshield. Seems to do the trick.Though, if I could tinker with it, i might add a flexible boom for the mic, so that I could get it more centered to where I tend to talk.Also, voice control doesn't seem to come through the speakers, this might be an iOS thing, or a hardware function. I'd like to know if Siri comes through.Anyway, this is a review of my Second purchase. My first one got stolen. They broke in, stole the cable, left the self-power speaker, and locked back up. Weird. So, I replaced the first one with a pair this time, now I'll have a back-up. That should tell you how much I love this thing.And BTW, it took me MONTHS to even notice the switch.... calls come in and the music pauses, people hang up and the music comes back on. You need not touch the thing except to plug in. But now I use the switch for pausing music, instigating voice control, etc. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and effective *by K***A on September 4, 2010* I am using this in my 2010 Honda FIt and my iPhone4. At first I was worried that the auxiliary port on the stereo unit may be too far away to clearly capture my voice. Although in the few months that I have been using it those that I have talked with have made no complaints about the audio clarity.The sound quality of the of the podcast that I listen to through the cars stereo during my commute seems fine (or as fine as the source material allows). The toggle switch in the cable is easy to identify and allows for easily answering or hanging up phone calls or starting/pausing audio playback. One word of note, if you should happen to have short arms you may want to make sure that you can comfortably reach over to an area about 6 inches below your cars auxiliary jack as I imagine that this could be problematic for some people in some automobiles. ### ⭐ Big disappointment *by A***C on March 1, 2011* I have been waiting for a product like this forever, since I always have my phone connected to the audio jack for listening to podcasts while driving. So when I found this I couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. From the very first call, everyone I talked to said they could barely hear or understand me, so I would have to disconnect the phone from the cable every time I got a call.Today I decided to test the audio quality of this cable against bluetooth, speakerphone, headset and handset to see for myself. I called my own voicemail using each connection type then listened to each message. This cable's call quality came out dead last. It was almost impossible to hear my voice or distinguish any words I was saying while using this cable. And ofc all the calls were made in exactly the same conditions.
