Feels good and doesn't have the very lightweight feel compared to some other splitters I've used in the past. Seems to work well for setup. I've got a work laptop connecting to a docking station which connects to 2 monitors. I have a personal PC which is not connected to the docking station and I wanted to use one of the monitors for it without having to keep changing the HDMI cable. This seems to do the trick nicely. Hopefully stays that way!

My use case: I have a laptop with 1 HDMI port. I wanted to connect the laptop to a second monitor during the day, for graphic design work, so that I have two screens (laptop screen and second monitor), and switch to a TV in the evening for gaming and YouTube, with the laptop screen off. So two quite different configurations. Before I bought the Fokky switch I was unplugging and swapping my HDMI cables every day, and I was concerned about wear and tear on my only laptop HDMI port. The switch prevents that and saves me hunting for cables around the back of the laptop every day. I can now easily switch from my second monitor to my TV with a button press. The switch has a glowing 1 and 2 light to let you know what device you're sending a signal to (I have my monitor on 1 and my TV on 2). The image on both screens is as good as before using the switch, with no flickering or other issues. I don't know about the 4k performance as I still use 1080p 60Hz on both my screens, but everything works well with my setup. Build quality seems good and solid and the switch does not require a separate power source.

This does the job of connecting 2 HDMI inputs to my old TV which only has 1 HDMI connection. It was very inexpensive (I wanted to try out whether we would use both devices before buying something more expensive) so I suppose it's normal to have some inconvenience. However I'm wondering if I'm being generous to give 3 stars when one of the flaws is really basic! The amount of plastic there is around the two things that need to be plugged side by side into this splitter, means that they don't fit side by side. So I had to spend some more on a connection cable with less casing on it. In fairness, there I can see no reduction in picture quality with this in place, but you can tell that my tv is not state of the art from the fact that it only has one HDMI slot! It was very easy to set it up, you do have to actually go across the room and press the button on the splitter itself to change between the 2 inputs, but that's not exactly a hardship! There's a clear light so that you know which one is which. For the money it does exactly what I wanted it to do, after a little faffing about with cables!

I brought this as I only have 1 HDMI port on my tv and wanted an input from my Sky box and blu ray player. It seems to work okay with the blue ray but the Sky box doesn't work when I have both inputs connected. So I have to take the blu ray cable and then the Sky box works fine. This isn't a huge problem but it is not how I wanted to to operate.

Min enhet slutade att fungera efter ca en månad. Använde den kanske 3-4 gånger, men nu skickar den inte signalen visare till TV. Att koppla enheterna direkt till TV fungerar. Lite oflyt.

Needs power from video destination, but does switch one screen (or projector) between two sources, OR switches one source to either of two screens/projectors.
