This is a very good light I bought one before, but not this kind This is much easier to set up And works so well I ordered another one

I've been searching a long time for a good quality solar light for my home's decorative tile street address number sign, and I've finally found it. I wanted a light with good build quality, be relatively small, be solar powered, and be reasonably priced. This light meets all these requirements. Now, my home will be easily found by emergency personnel at night. The light can be setup to operate in one of three modes: 1) Green indicator - the light is dimly on (20 lumens) throughout the entire night. When the light detects motion, it shines more brightly (250 lumens) for some 37 seconds before returning to dim lighting. I tried this mode, but found that the dim light mode was not bright enough to adequately light my home's street address number sign. Since this was my primary reason for using the light I did not use this mode. 2) Blue indicator - the light is normally off. When the light detects motion, it turns on very brightly (330 lumens) for some 37 seconds before turning off. I did not use this mode, because I wanted the light to always be on throughout the night to light my home's street address sign. 3) Red indicator - always on mode. Bright light of 80 lumens during the first 5 hours after dusk, then a dimmer light of 40 lumens for the following 5 hours. This was the best mode of operation for my needs since the light was on throught the night lighting my home's street address sign. Also the brightness levels of 80 and 40 lumens were just right to allow the sign to be easily visible from the street. One additional benefit to this light is that it uses a replaceable 3.7v Li-ion rechargeable battery which costs around $5. ============================================================================== 02/20/2019 Update: I ran into a significant issue with using this product to light up my home's street address so that emergency personnel could easily find my home at night. The main problem was that on a day when there was insufficient sunlight, the battery in the light would not be charged enough and so the light would either not come on at all or not last throughout the entire night. The solution was to convert the "solar light" into a low power AC light. So I used a very small AC to DC voltage regulator module inside the light fixture, replacing the solar powered battery circuitry. I then wired a 6VAC transformer in my garage and ran wires to the modified light fixture. The AC to DC voltage regulator module would regulate the 6VAC down to 4.0VDC which I used to drive the LED panel in the light fixture. The 6VAC transformer is controlled by a dusk/dawn detector, and so now I have a perfectly functional address light fixture that works regardless of whether there was enough daylight on a given day.

Decent little light. Looks to be well enough made. This is more of a light the path safety light than a GET OUT OF OUR YARD security light. It's as bright as expected for the size and price, but I don't expect it to chase any thieves away, just make it easier for them to see what they're doing. INSTALLATION WARNING - It's not square, or mine wasn't. I used a level on the top and put the two screws in. Came down off the ladder and it was clearly crooked? Turns out the bottom isn't square with the top. Since you see the bottom, use the level on the bottom because you can't move it a little bit without hitting the same holes.

This solar light has been so nice to use on the north side of my home where it is very dark. It definitely does everything it claims to do. This is a very nice solar light with a big solar panel and a large capacity battery. It is bright enough to replace my other wired outdoor light, and it is sensitive enough that when you approach it, it turns on right away without your having to wave your arms in front of it. This is very nice and helps me feel more secure. That side of my house is very dark and to have a light turn on when someone walks near it, makes me feel a lot more secure. When it gets dark earlier, like n the winter, I use it in Mode 2 where it turns on with motion at full brightness, and it stays off the rest of the time. This means all of the sunlight goes to charge the battery and there is plenty of light when motion is detected. Also very good to know...There is a black button on the front for setting modes. The unit is shipped in the OFF setting. Charge the unit by letting it sit in bright sunlight for at least 3 hours. Then, take it to a DARK ROOM. The Mode button will ONLY function when the unit is in darkness!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This solar motion light has been awesome! If you need a bright light in a dark area outside, this is definitely an awesome life for you. You will not be disappointed! I think I need to buy a couple more for some other darker areas around my yard

I currently have one mounted 5ft up on a tree in the backyard. For the last 4 yrs it has been through all-weather imaginable including the occasional possum brushing into it while it climbs the tree. The light is bright and will stay on all night. Have mine set for regular light, with motion activated bright.

I have placed several of these on my stairs in Central Ontario Canada. No a lot of sunlight for charghing in these neck of the woods. Overall they still light up when I need them. I use the low ambient setting and then they go bright when motion detector is triggered. I find I have so occasionally reset them as they turn off by themselves, which is why I took away a star. It may be the lack of sunlight and they totally discharge, not sure. Would and have bought again.

I have had this item less than 3 months and it worked great for the first 2.5 months and now it doesn't. I am very disappointed - I carefully checked reviews as I needed something reliable. What a waste of money and time. Obviously had I known it was not going to last even 3 months, I would not have bought it. Buyer beware..... Update: While it is true that the light died after just 2 months, I contacted the seller which I probably should have done first, and they are graciously sending me another one as they are committed to providing good quality and excellent customer service. I have not yet received the new light nor do I know obviously how long it'll last but I am encouraged that this seller will make it right.
