Wheels Manufacturing 25.4-31.8 Handlebar Shim, 1 Pair | bike-handlebars

This is my second set of shims, the first ones were too thin, I have another set on the way that are still taking forever so I ordered these and received them very quickly. They are high quality with tapered tops and the size marked on them in while lettering. Says high quality and attention to detail to me. So these worked very well. Bars are as stiff as a drum!

I purchased a new stem for my commuting bike as I found my old one was just a bit too short for comfort. I didn't realize that the clamp size was too large though, so I searched around for a quick fix, and came across these. They're a simple concept, and they're incredibly easy to install. I've put around 200 miles on my bike since I got these and they have held the bars on very tightly, no issues with rotating or slipping.

This is a handlebar shim, not much to go wrong here. I'm writing this review to point out that if you order FROM amazon, you get exactly the item pictured. The other reviewer should have given a negative review to the seller he purchased from, not the product itself.As for the shim... not much to say. Works as expected, I like the black color (you wouldn't notice it was there unless you really looked carefully, unlike with a silver one), and this was the cheapest one that was Prime eligible. I sort of wish one of the sides was slightly adhesive or something, would have made installation easier. It would also be awesome if they had the center point marked. That's why I gave it 4 instead of 5... it could be improved. But it works as expected once its on so no worries.

I PURCHASED A SHORTER STIM FOR MY MTB BECAUSE I WAS REACHING TOO FAR WHICH WAS CAUSING SHOULDER AND BACK /NECK PAIN. I MADE A MISTAKE AND WHEN I INSTALLED MY NEW SHORTER STIM MY HANDLEBAR WAS TOO SMALL. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW HANDLEBAR BUT THESE SHIMS SAVED THE DAY. THEY WORK GREAT!!!

This product fits like a glove. However, there is a couple of problems. 1) not easily installed. Hard to keep the two shims, handlebars, and handlebar clamps lined up. 2) I could not get the handlebar from moving from heavy torque. It works great for street riding. However, I wouldn't use it for any major offroading.

This product is the perfect item to convert the handlebar set from a mountain bike to a beach cruiser.The Bontrager handlebar set a different thickness at the point where it clamps onto the stem riser.The stem riser accommodates a handlebar 31.8 mm thickness.The handlebars I bought to make the bike into a beach cruiser is 24.6 mm in thickness at the point where it fits into the stem riser.To fit the beach cruiser handlebar onto the Bontrager stem riser I needed a shim set to fill the void and these shims fit that need perfectly.... I was very happy to find these shims on Amazon. Otherwise, I would have had to replace the stem riser myself or find a bike shop to do it for me. Using a bike shop would have run into problems trying to match different specifications to accomodate my beach cruiser handle bar set... these shims saved me TONS of headache and MONEY...

My bars were droopy and totally unsafe. I was like "what will I do, Order new ones, then what would I do with these?, and then I found it, ah ha the perfect solution to my erectile barfunction!" They were just what I needed, and she likes then too!

I tried to use these to mount some 31.8 mm clamp-on aero bars on a 25.4 mm handlebar. No amount of tightening would keep the aero bars from twisting.
