I asked a family member who used to distribute the Kirby to show me how to use the system. Our test area was my sister's family room rug, complete with a four month old soft drink stain from a 13 year old's sleep over. The Kirby shampoo was laid down on the rug, set to work in it's magic, and then was swept up into the collection tray. All I could say was...WOW!!! The Kirby system and shampoo pulled out several years of filth, not to mention that pesky soft drink stain. The carpet was left amazingly dry, and an hour later was vacuumed up to a beautiful fluff. My sister was amazed, and the "test area" soon turned into the entire room! The shampoo does not leave your carpets soaking wet, just slightly damp. It also has a refreshing but not pungent lavender scent. This quickly goes away with the foam pick up and drying.
